The Exhibitor’s Manual can also be downloaded from the COMPUTEX TAIPEI official website at www.computextaipei.com.tw (5) Each exhibitor should hire ONE booth contractor only for construction works inside the exhibition hall before, during, and after the show. In case of exhibitor ordering shell scheme booths withdrawing from participation or hiring other appointed contractors, booth facilities of shell scheme will be cancelled.Rental (including construction fee) already paid by the exhibitor shall not be refunded. (6) All booths, both raw space and shell scheme booths, are provided with 110V/500W electricity free of charge. Additional power or water supply and drainage will be at exhibitor’s expense. Application Deadline: January 29, 2021 or until booths are fully booked. (2) Exhibitors are granted priority on a first-come, first-allotted basis in their respective rental space status. International exhibitors who have registered early can usually choose between their product-specific area (i.e. Components & Advanced power tech, Systems and Solutions, etc.) and the International Exhibitors Area. When the spaces in the product-specific areas are sold out, exhibitors will be assigned to the International Exhibitors Area. The organizer reserves the right to change or alter locations and layouts as deemed necessary. Late exhibitors who cannot obtain space in the product-specific or International Exhibitors Area will be placed on the waiting list. (3) After having successfully registered online, the applicant will receive an auto-reply e-mail from TAITRA to confirm registration. (4) New exhibitors should send the completed application form along with a copy of their product catalogue (or product photos), and company introduction, to the organizer before the application deadline. Please send these documents by email to: Ms. Sharon Shen, E-mail: [email protected] (5) A confirmation letter of booth availability will be sent after the application form and all documents are received and reviewed. The organizer will later notify applicants of the allocated area and the date of the booth allocation meeting. (6) Applicants must secure their participation by paying a non-refundable deposit of US$ 1,000 per booth before the booth allocation meeting. Otherwise the organizer (TAITRA) will cancel the application. (7) Exhibitors who have already paid the booth fee for COMPUTEX 2020, the booth fee can be credited to the exhibition in COMPUTEX 2021. (8) PLEASE NOTE: It is forbidden for the registered company to resell, sublease, transfer or subdivide booth(s) to a third party. Any exhibitor or agent who violates this regulation can result in the exclusion of applying for booths in the next two consecutive years. (9) The organizer is not in a position to sponsor exhibitors when they apply for any government subsidy, entry visas and is not liable if applicants cannot obtain a visa.     Taiwantrade News Asia's biggest computer show, COMPUTEX Taipei, ends on high note COMPUTEX Taipei, Asia's largest computer show, saw an increase in traffic this year on the last day of the five-day event that ended on June 9, 2018. The five-day computer trade show drew 42,284 buyers from 168 countries, 1 percent more than last year's show. Of the 168 countries and regions represented by buyers at the show, the strongest presences were from the United States, Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, India, and the Philippines. The 34th COMPUTEX also attracted some 17,687 visitors to this year's InnoVEX, an 18 percent increase from the 2017 event. InnoVEX, with the participation of 388 exhibitors from 21 countries, is a featured exhibit that took place throughout the five- day run and focused on innovative new businesses and their gadgets, and smart IoT solutions. A total of 1,602 exhibitors from 30 countries showcased 5,015 booths at this year's event, said TAITRA Executive Vice President Leonor Lin. COMPUTEX Taipei has always been an important platform for both domestic and foreign players to showcase their latest technologies, and is also an ideal venue for businesses to stay connected to the latest industry trends as well as new technology developments, Lin added.     Semiconductors: Processors & Components INDUSTRY UPDATE May 28, 2019 Server Forecast Increasing; Computex Sparks PC Refresh Summary While the data center and server markets have been in the doldrums, IDC has recently increased its server spending forecast. We remain optimistic that AMD's EPYC CPU shipments can benefit the most of companies in our coverage universe for this expected upside due to market share gains. Increasing server shipments should help balance the memory supply/demand ratio. Also, in this note, we highlight process announcements from AMD, Intel and Nvidia. In our view, AMD's PC CPU and GPU product announcements clearly show that AMD is poised to take PC market share. Computex 2019 may be the most significant PC trade show in years sparking new interest in PCs. Key Points • Earlier in May, IDC released its updated server spending forecast. The forecast increased the total spending expectations for each year, compared to previous expectations, although growth is now expected to be negative in 2019 due to significantly higher than expected revenue in 2018. IDC is forecasting total 2019 spending of $90.4bn (down 3.3% y/y) compared to the previous forecast of $77.8bn (up 3.2% y/y). We believe, based on commentary from suppliers such as Nvidia (NVDA, Hold, $145.25) and Intel (INTC, Hold, $43.64), that growth in 2018 was driven in part by customers buying excess equipment, particularly Chinese customers due to trade concerns, in our view. As a result, we expect continued product digestion in 1H2019. • We believe AMD (AMD, Buy, $29.40) is becoming more competitive with its latest CPU and GPU data center offerings.
