The film follows BoBoiBoy and friends as they must fight an ancient villain named Retak'ka, who wants to take on BoBoiBoy's elementary powers. This is the second film to be produced by Animonsta Studios from the sequel BoBoiBoy: The Movie (2016). This is a standalone sequel to the first season of BoBoiBoy Galaxy. It was written as co-authors by Nizam and Anas Abdul Aziz. This is the first film to use settings and characters from BoBoiBoy Galaxy. It was released simultaneously in four countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore on August 8, 2019. The Vietnamese dub version of the film was released in Vietnam on August 30, 2019. The Synopsis BoBoiBoy and his friends Yai, In, Gopal and Fanga are 19-year-olds with different unique superpowers. BoBoiBoy has seven elementary forces: Fire, Water, Lightning, Wind, Leaf, Earth and Light. Power Spheres are robots that contain forces and are the protectors of the galaxy. Together they travel through the galactic world on a spaceship to save the Power Spheres, which are controlled by evil. In this film, BoBoiBoy and his friends are hunted by an ancient villain named Retak'ka, who wants to capture the elementary powers of BoBoiBoy. He is the original user of the elementary forces of BoBoiBoy, and now he is seeking to regain all his strength to become the most powerful and dominate the galaxy. The team must find a way to stop and defeat Retak'ka from taking boBoiBoy powers and destroying the galaxy. Starring Nur Fathia Diaz in The BoBoy Fadzli Mohd Ravi in Retak'ka Wong Pak Lin in Hang Kasa Dzubir Mohammad zakaria in Gopal Nizam Razak in Daddy OfEsia Isandra in Pipi zola Nur Sarah Alicia in Yaya Yaep E Probe, Tok Aba and Enchik Kumar Muhammad Abdurrahman Solahuddin - Ochobot Havanih Hamza Mahayuddin in Nizaam Razak said that filmmaking process for this second film is faster than the first film and only one year to be finished. They are enforcing a 12-month deadline to see if they can make a movie without compromising the quality or plot of animation. He there is pressure in completing the film on time, but his production team of 100 people managed to do so during that time. They used better technologies such as Redshift and a comprehensive modeling method, even though the price would be higher to give the best quality to the audience. If the reaction to this film is positive, they plan to make films consistently, with a new film every year or every year and a half. He described the opportunity to write off the film-themed song as a platform for approaching younger fans. His official lyrical video was released on June 27, 2019, and the video was released on July 26, 2019. iTunes was released on August 2, 2019, along with all the songs on his newest and latest album Rojak. Released before the release of BoBoiBoy: The Movie in 2016, Nizam Razak said they already have their ideas for a second film. It was originally the first Malaysian film to be released simultaneously in 5 countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Vietnam. However, the Vietnamese release was postponed until August 30 to make a full Vietnamese dub version. For the Indonesian market, it is distributed by CBI Pictures while for the Vietnamese market, the film is distributed by CGV Cinemas and Mani Entertainment. It will be shown in more than 500 cinemas, comprised of more than 144 cinemas in Malaysia, 8 in Singapore, 4 in Brunei, 150 in Indonesia and 120 in Vietnam. There have been requests from Thailand and the Philippines to release the film, as well as plans to target South Korea, India and China for future releases. Aside from entertainment purposes, cartoons are also used to send messages without a serious tone and indirectly telling something sarcastically. In April 2019, Malaysia was shocked by the headline that ‘Doraemon’ had been selected to represent the Japanese themed cartoon exhibition in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020. Malaysian art activists, specifically those who has a cartoon animation background, were very upset and expressed their dissatisfaction with the news. Local legendary cartoonist Datuk Lat also showed his disappointment and made a stand that a local cartoon character should have been chosen to represent Malaysia. Therefore, this research aims to illustrate the development of Malaysian cartoons from when they first started in newspapers, until their existence today in the form of animation on digital platforms. In sequence, Malaysia produced cartoons in newspapers, magazines, blogs, television and cinema, whereby this is in parallel with the development of technology. From hand- drawn art for ‘Usop Sontorian’ to digital animation for the film ‘Upin dan Ipin’, Malaysians should be more appreciative and proud of our local cartoons rather than those from other countries. A character is designed to complement the narrative especially believable animated character. A Design, believable animated character allows the audience to perceive the characters as a life-like character thus the Narrative, ‘illusion of life’ well-constructed. In order to achieve a greater effect close to life-like character, a believable Believability, animated character must also be appropriately timed, and his emotions must be clearly demonstrated (Joseph Animation Bates, 1994). It is also argued that a believable animated character moves according to his emotional state and Films, personality throughout his journey in the narrative similar features as presented in live action films. Problems BoBoiBoy arise if a character is not bothered about what happens in his world or is emotionally detached of his surroundings. If the characters do not react or respond to his circumstances, they did not take action, the audience will not care about what happens to them. Characters without emotions are considered as a robot. The scenario becomes even worse if the physical features of a character do not match with the personality. This paper attempts to examine the qualities and personalities of BoBoiBoy in BoBoiBoy: The Movie (2016) that make him a believable character with ‘life-like’ form and clear demonstration of human-like basic emotions even though he is personified as a little boy with superpower qualities.
