All rights reserved. 100023404. ANGUS CYCLING ROUTES Arbroath to Montrose 09 ROUTE ROUTE DESCRIPTION Starting at Arbroath Harbour, follow National Cycle Route 1 to Ferryden for 22km/14m. Turn left at Ferryden to Montrose. After 0.8km/0.5m, turn left at the roundabout onto the A92 to Arbroath and then turn right onto the A934, signposted for Forfar after 1.1km/0.7m. Turn right at the sign for Barnhead after 1.4km/0.9m. Continue for 2.6km/1.6m and turn right to Bridge of Dun. After 0.4km/0.25m, turn left to Haughs of Kinnaird. Continue for 2.3km/1.4m and turn left at the crossroads. After 2.6km/1.6m, turn left at the sign for Montrose. Continue straight on at the crossroads to Fithies, crossing the A934. After 2.6km/1.6m, follow the road to the right to Kinnell. Continue for 3km/1.8m and turn left to Boysack. Go straight on at the junction after 2.6km/1.6m. After 1.2km/0.7m, at the crossroads, go straight on to Arbroath. Continue for 5km/3m through St Vigeans and turn left at the T junction onto Tarry Road. Turn left at the T junction and then turn right at the roundabout. After 0.7km/0.4m, turn right at the T junction. Follow National Cycle Route 1 back to Arbroath Harbour for 3.9km/2.4m. Points of interest on this route include Lunan Bay, Red Castle and Montrose Basin. www.visitangus.com/cycling .
