It will gratify half of mankind and astound the other”. THE MONTHS OF JANUARY FEBRUARY Kashmir is the best thing ever happened to India! There are times when Kashmir flourishes with maple in the fall, green pasture in the summer but winter in Kashmir is really special. The entire valley is covered with snow .We allowed our children to do some extra activity in the snow to present their talent and they had great fun while playing with snow HARSH WEATHER BUT JOY UNLIMITED Made by the Girls THE MONTHS OF JANUARY FEBRUARY Art activities are a terrific way for kids of all ages to express themselves creatively. Clay and Playdough Ideas for KIDS THE MONTHS OF JANUARY FEBRUARY SKETCH MAKING OF STUDENTS OF GREAT PERSONALITIES Painting and Various Ideas THE MONTHS OF JANUARY FEBRUARY DRAWING COMPETITION HELD AMONG STUDENTS Workshop for BWF Officials and For Children: Together Three officials from BWF Team, Shri R Ashtikar, Shri K K Gupta and Dr. Disha Vanarase were deputed to 5th Annual Retreat of “ Oasis Movement” at Chanod. Near Baroda for 4 days from 9th Jan. to 12th Jan. 2020. The Gujarat based organisation works for Child Development in many cities including Jammu and Kashmir and run different programmes. From BWF Kashmir Shri Zahoor Mir, Coordinator, Anantnag Home, Ms. Hadeesa, Teacher, Shrinagar home and 4 children from different homes, Ms. Rukhsana, Ms. Snowber, Ms. Khushboo and Ms. Parveena also joined us there. In the year 2019, Oasis Movement had visited Kashmir and conducted various workshops under Dream India Camp. They conducted a 3 day workshop in Basera-e-Tabassum Home of Kupwara for the children studying in 8th-12th class of our Kupwara and Srinagar Home. Based on this workshop, they selected four girls, whom they invited for their Annual Retreat Programme in Vadodara. Personal Hygiene Good personal hygiene is one of the most effective ways to protect ourselves and others from many illnesses, such as gastroenteritis. Personal hygiene is how you care for your body. Personal Benefits One personal benefit of good hygiene is having better health. Keeping your body clean helps prevent illness and infection from bacteria or viruses. MAKING THE CHILDREN AWARE OF COVID-19 LITLE CHILDEN EXERCISING AND FOLLOWING COVID 19 GUIDELINES During COVID-19: CHILDREN BUSY TAKING ONLINE CLASSES TURNING FROM NORMAL SCHOOL CLASSES TO DIGITAL WAY WAS NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMED During Covid -19: ● Morning exercise and Evening Puja etc. were conducted at home. ● Children are making sanitary napkin pads every week. ● Regular cleaning and sanitization of home is being done. ● Counseling is done by Mrs Mahajan every Sunday on sessions about covid-19 hygienic etc. ● Complete fogging and sanitization of the building is being done three times by Mr Naresh Kumar of JMC through Dr. Sumit Mahajan. ● On 10/5/2020 children celebrated mother's day and made mother's day cards. COMPLETING THE ASSIGNMENTS GIVEN Children Making Sanitary Napkins Thermal screening Food packets distribution to Poor Families during Covid 19 CELEBRATING BIRTHDAY OF DR.AMBEDKAR AND CHILDREN MADE POTRAITS CELEBRATION OF HOLI IN A SIMPLE WAY Celebration of Eid Festival This year due to Covid-19, the children of all the homes could celebrate Eid festival very happily with their families. Eid Greetings ● THE CHILDREN WERE GIVEN IDDI WORTH RS 1000 EACH AS A TOKEN OF LOVE AND FOOD KITS WERE ALSO DISTRIBUTED AMONG THEIR FAMILIES ● In some of the remote areas people facing shortage of essential items. BWF has taken challenge to reach these needy and make food items and medicines available. Our vehicles are going door to door in remote villages for distribution ● We had also provided 195 food kits to students and staff of all homes . Students were given Eidi also. The staff and volunteers are whole heartedly doing the service day and night. COVID-19 1. Awareness Campaign against COVID-19 in which recorded messages regarding preventive measures of COVID-19 and measures to improve immunity are played through installed Public Address System. 2. Distribution of food kits to the destitute and widows. 3. Distribution of food kits and Cash Eidi to the girl children of 6 Orphanage Homes (Bassera-e-Tabbasum and Rahat Ghar). 4. Providing and administration of Homoeopathic Immunity Boosting medicines to various government officials, doctors and general public. 5. Identifying the destitute people and counselling them regarding various government schemes through meetings with BDO and SDM. This year in February 2020, Shri Adhik Kadam, founder of BWF was awarded “Rotary Humanity Hero Award 2020” at a Rotary function at Kolkata. On this occasion many dignitaries including Rotary International President, National Presidents and Eminent personalities from other fields had graced the function. ASHA SV has supported BET since 2005.
