Walking tour in Tampere city centre, information on Tampere and on how to get around in Tampere, Coffee or Tea Free time for settling and sightseeing according to own interests. More detailed programme and instructions will be given to students at TAMK when the InnoEvent starts. 16:00 Meeting at TAMK´s International Office, introduction to TAMK and the Students' Union (Tamko) and a guided tour at TAMK Free time Tuesday 4th Nov 8:30 – 16:00 Working on the assignment in groups at TAMK 17:45 Meeting in front of The Old City Hall by the fountain (Keskustori Central Square) and guided walk to the restaurant 18:00 – 19:30 Dinner hosted by The City of Tampere, location in the city centre Wednesday 5th Nov 8:30 – 16:00 Working on the assignment in groups at TAMK 17:45 Meeting in front of Tampere Hall Congress and Concert Centre (Tampere-talo), address: Yliopistonkatu 55. A guided walk in the area and to the University of Tampere (UTA). 18:15 – 19:45 A possibility to take part in a joint lecture on Finnish Society and Culture together with dozens of international exchange and degree students of TAMK, UTA & TUT. The lecture is organized at the University of Tampere (UTA), Pinni B building, Auditorium B1100. Topic: Finnish Welfare and Social Services (includes theory and cases from real life) The lecture is part of the course 'Finnish Society and Culture' (1-5 ECTS credits) which is designed especially for international students who wish to know more about the Finnish society and culture. The main purpose is to introduce the students to the society and culture of contemporary Finland. The course is intended for all international students (both degree and exchange students) studying at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Tampere (UTA). Lectures are held by experts in the fields of, for example, Finnish history, welfare state, foreign policy, information society, technology, innovations, literature, culture, music, art, design, environ-mental issues, forestry, business and business branches especially in the Tampere region.
