V., Aug. 6, 1828; died Coldwater, Mich., Nov. 4, 1854; married Trenton, Mich., Apr. 7, 1852, Martin Talmadge Coon, son of James Coon. He was born Herkimer Co., N. V.;died La Crosse, Wis., about 1859, aged about 40. Res. Coldwater, Mich. No children. 1113. HENRY HOBART ALVORD (Nathaniel Clarke, Elijah, Nathan, John, Thomas, Alexander), born Le Roy, N. V., Jan. 6, 1831 ;married Bay City, Mich., Oct. 22, 1854, Marcia Milnor Put- nam, daughter of John W. and Sally A. (Jones) Putnam. She was born Dearborn, Mich., June 19, 1837. Res. Bay City, Mich., San Antonio, Tex., and Los Angeles, Cal. (1904). No children. Henry Hobart Alvord served in the Civil War as lieutenant of the 102nd U. S. Colored Infantry; enlisted May, 1864, discharged Nov. 1865. He was severely wounded in battle at Honey Hill,and breveted captain for gallant conduct. He was in the battles of Honey
