Teaching

The School of Humanities & Social Sciences has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and innovation in pedagogy. We have a large number of University Teaching Fellows in the School as well as a National Teaching Fellow. This makes for a lively and energetic teaching culture where students remain our focus. We consistently perform well in the National Student Survey across the School’s disciplines, and our teaching is rated as excellent. The School also has a strong tradition of excellent pastoral care.

Research

The School has strong research interests in a wide range of areas across a range of disciplines, including law, criminology, communications and media, linguistics and second language acquisition, and drama.
