Foreign Military Weapons and Equipment
DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY PAMPHLET NO. 30-7-4 FOREIGN MILITARY WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT Vol. III INFANTRY WEAPONS DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY DT WASHINGTON 25, D. C. FOREWORD The object in publishing the essential recognition features of weapons of Austrian, German, and Japanese origin as advance sections of DA Pam 30-7-4 is to present technical information on these weapons as they are used or held in significant quantities by the Soviet satellite nations (see DA Pam 30-7-2). The publication is in looseleaf form to facilitate inclusion of additional material when the remaining sections of DA Pam 30-7-4 are published. Items are presented according to country of manufacture. It should be noted that, although they may be in use or held in reserve by a satellite country, they may be regarded as obsolete in the country of manufacture. Law: Backbone of the Wehr- macht, others) Collectors and other observers of WWII German military artifacts, especially weapons, often see small die stamps on them with a stick figure representation of the German Reich eagle and a number. Commonly referred to as “Waffenamts”, they were inspection stamps which identified the item as being inspected and passed, at some stage of its manufacturing pro- cess for the German Army. Complex items such as firearms would have multiple Waffenamts on them. When the Nazis took power in 1933, Germany started a massive re- armament program. A part of this process was the Heereswaffenamt (He.Wa.A. – Army Ordnance Office) hereafter referred to as the HWA. The beginnings of the HWA were in the Waffen- und Munitionsbeschaffungsamt of the First World War but the Waffenamt was founded officially by orders dated Nov. 8., 1919 and renamed as Heereswaffenamt on May 5., 1922. -

These rifles were the famed standard-issue rifles of the German army through the first and second World Wars; should the rifle have a two- or three-alphanumeric code on the top of the receiver, the rifle is most likely a Gewehr 98k or Karabiner 98k. What I figured. Good. So yeah its a post war Mauser. Oberndorf is the city, Mauser-Werke is the company. If you have time to sell it you could get north of $800. Probably less than $1,500 though. I know, I know, huge ballpark, but stuff like this is priced individually. There's not much of a "book value" for it and this is a wild-assed guess. Mauser produced 12,000 m-1894 carbines between 1894 and 1896 and Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori 115,000 m-1894 carbines between 1895 and 1933, giving a total of 127,000 m-1894 carbines. -

MAUSER POCKET PISTOLS - an INTRODUCTION (Revised Feb 2005) by A
MAUSER POCKET PISTOLS - AN INTRODUCTION (Revised Feb 2005) By A. Winthrop Identifying your Mauser pocket pistol can be a little tricky. It could fall into one of four categories: a Mauser Pocket Pistol 1910; a Mauser Pocket Pistol 1914 (or its slightly modified 1934 version), a Mauser Vest Pocket Pistol or the Mauser HSc. The Mauser Pocket Pistol 1910, somewhat larger and with a longer barrel than competing pocket pistols and therefore considered more reliable and accurate, was chambered only for 6.35mm (.25 ACP). There were two basic versions of this pistol: one made between early 1911 and July 1913, and another, updated version introduced in January 1914. Those made before 1914 have serial numbers between 1 and 61,000 and those made during or after 1914 have serial numbers between 61,000 and 152,000 (1914-1917) and between 200,000 and 403,000 (1919-1934). The latter figures include 1914 models in both 6.35mm and the larger 7.65mm (.32 ACP), added to Mauser's pocket pistol offerings in July 1914. No numbers are known to exist between 152,000 and 200,000 for the 6.35mm. The pre-1914 versions have come to be known as the "Side Latch" or "First" models. The side plate on these pistols incorporates a latch that allows the plate, trigger\sear assembly and trigger bar and spring to be removed, without having to remove the slide. The pistol had a very good finish and was from the beginning a commercial success in Europe, North America and elsewhere. Mauser reported the following total sales figures: 1911, 11,012 sold; 1912, 30,291; 1913, 18,856. -

OPS and TACTICS: ARMORY Version 1.10 2
1 OPS AND TACTICS: ARMORY Version 1.10 2 How to use this book This book is a supplement to the Ops and Tactics RPG system, expanding the armor and firearm selection of the base Ops and Tactics Core Rulebook. This book is to used as a reference book, expanding the selection of firearms in the game, beyond the core rulebook, as well as a learning tool, to better understand each category of firearm, their intended uses, and tactics to use and develop on. For GMs, this book can be used when building campaigns, to provide a more real-world feeling to the NPCs, providing them with believable weaponry, as well as fitting tactics. Building a Campaign When building a campaign, your first question should always be “What kind of Campaign am I making?”. This question is asked, to determine how important, if at all, will firearms be in your campaign. Should multiple guns in different calibers make an appearance, or is everyone wielding 9x19mm? If the campaign is going to be action packed, then the details and intricacies should be fitting. The campaign should focus less on the simple interactions with the NPCs, and more on the action and fights. Likewise, if the campaign is heavily focused on drama, then the roleplay aspect of this should be focused on rather than the accessories to their primary sidearms. Be sure to ask your players what kind of game they wish to participate in, and use their answers to design around that type of campaign. If you do decide to run a game that is heavy on firearms, then this book will be a valuable asset. -
