Their most characteristic food is biltong, a brown/ red meat that looks like sausage which you can find almost anywhere. It’s a dried meat that is made of animals like Kudu, Krokodil and Ostriches. Some of South­ African food are: Bobotie, Bunny chow, Frikkadel, Samp, Waterblommetjiebredie and… If you look closely at the ingredients, mostly of the South­ African Meat. It can be dry meat, meat in stew or even grilled meat. I saw that they eat Ostrich meat a lot too. But of course some of people don’t have enough money for a piece of bread. Swedish food contains almost everything. It can be vegetarian and it can be meat. One of the most known bread in Sweden is Crispbread. You can eat crispbread beside your food. There is crayfish parties in August. Those days, they eat crayfishes. One of the most famous fish here in Sweden is Surströmming. But the most famous food in Sweden is Meatballs with Mashed potatoes which is served with Lingonberries Jam. I noticed that South Africa has people from around the world and 79,8 % of them was christians during 2001. Because of that, they also celebrate the same same holidays as we do. It can be one day or 2 days difference, but they still celebrate for example Christmas at 25th december. South Africa doesn’t have any special tradition for the country because of the people from around the world. Here in Sweden we Celebrate same holidays too, but we have our midsommarafton and other traditions that South Africa does not have. The only thing that separate Sweden and South Africa in this part is that Sweden has special traditions like midsummer and Africa doesn’t. South Africa’s ethnic groups are Africans, europeans and asians. During the 1940’s, there was something called Apartheid. There was English people who discriminated African people. Apartheid was a social system that meant different races couldn’t blend with each other. The whPageite people was th2e o nofes wh o3 decided and had the police behind them. There is no Apartheid today but still the white people has more rights and have a better life than Black people, that’s not just in South Africa but the whole world. In Sweden there is a lot of people who are against immigrants, while other people are for them. Most of the immigrants who move here to Sweden are muslims. I think that the population in Sweden is growing and soon there is not job or houses enough for people, that’s why the most of Swedish people are against immigrants, because according to them, immigrants are taking over Sweden. Rasicm is a different thing from being against immigrants. I think racism is a group of sick people who hates everybody but themselves. Today there are many immigrants moving to Sweden and luckily there is many Swedish families that are taking care of the families. I think that it’s a sweet thing to do, you get a good feeling when you help someone, as long as they understand what you are doing to them.
