TROPES ANALYSIS OF ADVERTISING ON JANUARY- APRIL 2020

Abstract - A is a word or expression used in a figurative sense. The writers intend to understands : What types of tropes are found in the language advertising use in Newspapers? This article found that there are only five kinds of tropes that are found in Newspaper advertising in January – April 2020, they are: hyperbole, , , personification, and synecdoche. The types of total tropes sentence that found in advertisement is 26 tropes. The total of hyperbole are 14 sentences, the total of Metaphor is 1 sentence, the total of Metonymy are 2 sentence, the total of Personification 5 sentences , and the total of Synecdoche are 4 sentences.
