For Immediate Release Corey Helford Gallery 1/03/2007 Los Angeles, CA Emily and Zooey Deschanel To Host Private Reception for Photographer Chris Anthony With A Special Musical Performance by Zooey Deschanel Chris Anthony’s “Victims & Avengers” Private Reception Saturday, January 27, 2007 7 to 11pm Corey Helford Gallery is pleased to present a private reception for Chris Anthony’s photographic series, Victims & Avengers on Saturday, January 27. Actors Zooey and Emily Deschanel who appear in many of Anthony’s images will host the event. The evening includes a special musical performance by Zooey Deschanel. The exclusive by-invitation-only reception on January 27 is not open to the public. All members of the press are invited and should email [email protected] to rsvp. Beginning on Tuesday, January 30, the exhibition opens to the public and is on view for one week until Wednesday, February 7, 2007. On display in its entirety for the fi rst time, Victims & Avengers explores the theme of domestic violence through a series of twenty-seven photographs. The exhibition also features a limited-edition portfolio containing twelve 10” x 20” giclee prints, signed and numbered. Included in the box set are legal documents such as a Divorce Order, Restraining Order, and Last Will and Testament, as well as a Checklist for Victims of Domestic Violence. A portion of the proceeds from the show will benefi t Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program for women and their children. Chris Anthony is an internationally recognized photographer who has worked on projects for numerous clients, including Sony Playstation 3 and “The Black Parade” for My Chemical Romance. His fi rst collection of photographs entitled, “RED WHITE BLACK AND BLUE” was featured in gallery exhibitions in Los Angeles, Stockholm and San Francisco. Born and raised in Stockholm, Anthony also briefl y lived in Indianapolis and Florence. In his teens, he worked as a rock photographer and went on to direct music videos and commercials.
