There are some important things to keep in mind when going through this experience of going to university, these will prepare you and help you to cope with any situation you stumble across.

Look after yourself – It takes time for new friends to really know you properly, which means you need to put your own welfare, health and safety at the top of your priorities.

Confront difficulties – In a new environment it’s easy to waste time worrying about things you don’t understand or can’t control. Don’t be afraid to ask the Student Support team and many other agencies external to BIMM who are ready and willing to help you with any problem or query, big or small.
