Scuola Internazionale Mushing/Sleddog ( S.I.M SUMMER 2021 .. Welcome to the magical world of the "Mushers", the sled dogs drivers. The International Mushing School SIM is a Sports Association recognized by the Italian Olympic Committee and the Italian Federation Musher Sleddog Sport. It is a Dog training center authorized by the Veterinary Service of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. Following the activities offered to anyone with a minimum of physical fitness and love for animals and nature. Our Summer offer, suitable for children and adults, is a very pleasant excursion on foot in Husky Dog Trekking in the wonderful Forest of Tarvisio, combined with a guided tour of the Center with its sled dogs and presentation of the equipment. You will learn the basic training techniques from serious professionals by personally conducting one of our sled dogs, harnessed and connected to you with a adequate leash and belt to the waist of each participant. The fees for the DOG TREKKING experience of duration 1.30 h. at the headquarters of our School in Tarvisio are: - 1 adult with 1 dog € 30 - 1 child under 14 years with 1 Dog € 25 - 2 adults with 1 dog € 50 - 1 adult and 1 child with 1 Dog € 45 - 1 adult and 2 children with 1 Dog € 60 - 2 adults and 1 child with 1 Dog € 65 - groups of schools / summer camps / agencies / clubs with a minimum of 15 participants € 15 each child, € 20 each adult GUIDED TOUR of the School and kennel € 5 which corresponds to the annual Membership Fee (Min. 6 participants) > The School also offers its Associates excursions to explore the area driving a four-wheeled Quad bike. Each Quad can carry 1 or 2 passengers and its cost is € 100 for the duration of 2 hours. A driving license for motor bike vehicles or auto motor vehicles is required for driving. > The School provides also TRAINING and BOARDING pension service for dogs of any breed at our facility which consists of covered boxes. Fee for 1 box € 30 per day, € 15 for half a day. Limited availability. ALL RATES INCLUDE INSURANCE AND ANNUAL ASSOCIATION FEE of Euro 5 in the first activity carried out. Anyone can join the SIM. The recommended clothing and footwear for Dog Trekking are the classic ones for trekking by feet to allow you to move and walk comfortably. Our headquarters are on the FUSINE Flats (Tarvisio, UD Italy) on the National Road n. 54 before the Slovenian border connecting Tarvisio to Kranjska Gora. BOOKING IS NECESSARY well in advance.     1 JULIAN ALPS TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK www.slovenia.info 2The Julian Alps The Julian Alps are the southeast- ernmost part of the Alpine arc and at the same time the mountain range that marks the border between Slo- venia and Italy. They are usually divided into the East- ern and Western Julian Alps. The East- ern Julian Alps, which make up approx- imately three-quarters of the range and cover an area of 1,542 km2, lie entirely on the Slovenian side of the border and are the largest and highest Alpine range in Slovenia. The highest peak is Triglav (2,864 metres), but there are more than 150 other peaks over 2,000 metres high. The emerald river Soča rises on one side of the Julian Alps, in the Primorska re- gion; the two headwaters of the river Sava – the Sava Dolinka and the Sava Bohinjka – rise on the other side, in the Gorenjska region. The Julian Alps – the kingdom of Zlatorog According to an ancient legend a white chamois with golden horns lived in the mountains. The people of the area named him Zlatorog, or “Goldhorn”. He guarded the treasures of nature. One day a greedy hunter set off into the mountains and, ignoring the warnings, tracked down Zlatorog and shot him. Blood ran from his wounds Chamois The Triglav rose and fell to the ground. Where it landed, a miraculous plant, the Triglav rose, sprang up. Veliko nas je, ki podobno občutimo gore, skupaj smo do- živeli mnogo lepega, pa čeprav je šlo včasih tudi malce za nohte. Na turah in taborih planinskega društva smo se na- učili vsega tistega, kar je potrebno za varno obiskovanja gora, pa tudi občutili zadovoljstvo pri prostovoljnem delu. V veliko čast in ponos mi je, da lahko nekaj besed ob pra- znovanju 70 letnice Planinskega društva Gozd Martuljk Venec gora nad Rutami, na eni strani resno lice skalnih vrša- napišem tudi sam.

    Direzione Centrale Risorse Rurali Agroalimentari e Forestali Servizio Gestione Forestale e Produzione Legnosa AZIENDA FAUNISTICO VENATORIA “ PICCO DI MEZZODI’ “ FUSINE IN VALROMANA CHI SIAMO E DOVE SIAMO • L’Azienda Faunistico Venatoria “Picco di Mezzodì”, dal 2007 è di proprietà della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, è affidata al Servizio Gestione Forestale e Produzione Legnosa, che la gestisce tramite un Legale Rappresentante, sulla base degli indirizzi stabiliti dalla Giunta Regionale per la gestione delle proprietà silvo-pastorali (D.G.R. 1032/2010) • Il territorio dell’ Azienda è situato nell’ alta Valcanale, in un ambiente integro, costituito nella quasi totalità da spazi naturali permanenti. • L’Azienda si estende per circa 650/ha. dalla Conca di Fusine, in Valromana, partendo da una quota di circa 900/m. s.l.m. dell’ Alpe del Lago Superiore, da nord lambisce il Mangarth, la Forcella di Ratece e la Valle della Lavina, ingloba parte del Rio Nero, il Colrotondo, sale oltre i 2.000/m. s.l.m. del Picco di Mezzodì che le da il nome, per proseguire a sud verso Cime Verdi, l’Alpe del Moritsch ed il Rio Bianco sin al confine di prossimità di Cave del Predil. I CONFINI E LA STORIA * L’Azienda si colloca all’ estremo nord-est della regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, confina a est con la Slovenia ed a nord è a meno di 10 km. dal confine con l’Austria. Raggiungerla è facile, seguendo l’Autostrada Alpe Adria (A23) uscire a Tarvisio, attraversare il centro in direzione Fusine e Cave del Predil, indi salire ai Laghi di Fusine.
