    2019 Yamaha YZF-R3 Vs Kawasaki Ninja 400- Comparo Chassis: Yamaha uses its Delta-Box frame in the 2019 version of R3. The frame has been reworked for increased Agility and Compactness. The wet weight of the bike is just 166 Kg, which is in the range of Pulsar RS 200, a much less powerful bike. The Suspension on the new Model includes Showa’s 41mm Upside down forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable spring at the rear. Brakes at both ends comprise of a Steel Disc while the ABS is a Dual Channel Unit. Recently Yamaha updated its world-famous 300cc sportbike the YZF-R3 by giving it a host of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades. A few months ago Kawasaki had already released its Ninja 400 in the market with Ninja 400 uses the advance Trellis Frame whose worth has been proven by bikes ranging from KTM Duke an intent of dominating the sub 400cc segment. While the KTM dominates sales chart in India, the Ninja 390 to Kawasaki H2. The main concept of this event is to create the trend among society that automobile is a tangible matter for Thai people and to build awareness of automobile world. Car Of The Year has been travelling to its 11th year of the annual event. The concept was to promote Thailand automotive industry which consists of car parts industry, automotive assembly industry and other automotive related industry in order to elevate the quality to the world class standard and is reliable in the international environment as the perfect automobile production hub for Export. And to fulfill all segments of the motoring industry, the committee agreed to have an additional event which is the Bike Of The Year for the first time. However, if we look back at the earlier stage, GPI had presented the Car Of The Year award alongside with the Bike Of The Year award in 1981 and 1982 at the New IMPERIAL HOTEL, before GPI brought it back this year after a long suspended time. At the time, the Bike Of The Year was honorary presided over by General Chatchai Choonhavan, the Minister of the Ministry of Industry for the 2 consecutive years. It is already known that the Bike Of The Year was born under the good collaboration work among Grand Prix International Company Limited and other well-recognized organizations in the society namely the Society of Automotive Engineer-Thailand, the Thai Automotive Journalists Association and the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand (RATT).

The frame is evalu- ated in different tests and its performance is evaluated. Solustions are also suggested for the current problems. The finite element method analysis techniques were used for the solution of the prob- lem. To that end, the program ANSYS R Workbench 15.0 was used, for both modal analysis and static loads applied. The model was analysed and its behaviour was evaluated in each of the cases. To improve its performance, an optimization of the frame model was done and suggestions were made. i ii Resumo Esta tese apresenta a análise numérica de um quadro para um motociclo para trail. O quadro é avaliado em diferentes testes e a sua prestação é comentada. São também su- geridas soluções para os atuais problemas. As técnicas de análise pelo método dos elementos finitos são aplicadas para a re- solução do problema. Para tal efeito utilizou-se o programa ANSYS R Workbench 15.0, quer para a análise modal, quer para as solicitações estáticas. O modelo foi analisado e o seu comportamento foi avaliado em cada um dos casos, tendo-se realizado uma optimização do modelo do quadro ou realizadas sugestões para o melhor desempenho do mesmo.
