Prayer for National, State, and Local Leaders “First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. • Pray that we would elect Godly leaders • Pray that Jesus will be exalted in their lives. • Pray that those who are followers of Jesus would not waiver in faith. • Pray that righteousness will mark their lives and decisions (Proverbs 14:34). • Pray that they would have Godly wisdom. • Pray that those who are not followers of Christ would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved through faith in Jesus.
