Milan Week: YPNOSIA presents collection at OFS runway show. Zurich, (Date) – Zurich based fashion designer Fulvia Staub-Mastellone will present a small selection of YPNOSIA SS2018 collection on September 22nd at the runway show of OFS (Oxford Fashion Studio) in . The OFS runway shows have taken place since 2009 coinciding with the respective fashion weeks in London, New York, Paris and Milan. They offer carefully selected upcoming designers an international platform to meet global buyers, fashion media and industry guests.

The collection YPNOSIA stands for visually hypnotic, timeless, sensual and sophisticated elegance. Each dress is absolutely unique, both with regard to the fabric and the design. For her label Fulvia works with silk and cotton Ikat Sarongs that she personally selects in small family run weaving mills in Bali, but she consciously designs the dresses in a European context. Her inspiration is the fashion of the 50s, which she redefines in a contemporary context. The dresses with generous retro necklines feature tight- fitting bodices mostly nipping in at the waist and opening to either voluminous pleated or tube skirts with small pin-tuck motifs. All dresses are tailored in a couture atelier in that still works with utmost attention to detail and the sophistication of the Italian Alta Sartoria. All dresses have a mother of pearl button shaped like a frangipani flower in homage to Bali.

The dresses exude solar radiance and feminine grace and poise, celebrate the feminine silhouette and tell stories of the timeless elegance of the 50s. They are a chic alternative for business, city shopping strolls or elegant garden and cocktail parties.

They are designed for the self-aware woman, who is not afraid to step out in style, to make a bold statement and hypnotically capture attention. “I wish to flatter and underline the femininity and beauty in each woman” says the designer.

Prêt-a-porter and bespoke (tailor-made) For her dresses Fulvia personally selects each sarong and designs the that best harmonize with the colours and textures: „What inspires me are these extremely sensual and soft textured fabrics that highlight a woman’s silhouette in a very fluid way. The ancient symbolic patterns and minimal geometric or delicate floral motifs create a hypnotic patchwork of shades in unusual colours such as lilac wisteria, forest green, ocean blue, yellow ochre, cobalt turquoise and burgundy red, creating very harmonic chromatic patterns.“

1 In the showroom in Zurich Seefeld a small selection of unique prêt-à-porter dresses is available. Clients will also find there a fine selection of the most beautiful cotton and silk ikat sarongs to create their own tailor-made dress together with the designer. From each sarong one dress only is produced, which makes it truly unique – a small piece of art.
