s we do each year, we will celebrate the birthday of the Mustang on Saturday, April A 17th. Jerry Grimmer has ar- ranged with McAlister's, located at 11969 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton, to host our event. You don’t have to own a Mustang to come. We have the use of the patio and front lot. The event will run from 3 pm to 6 ish. Bring chairs to gather outside. There is a 20% discount of your meal. Mark your calendars.

As most of you know, long time member, Craig Brayton has passed away. Craig’s courageous battle with cancer came peacefully to an end on March 1, 2021. Craig had an obsession for old cars. Later in his adult life he joined the Ford Unlimited Car Club, the Mustang Club of Amer- ica, Show-Me Mustang Club and Route 66 Car Club. Craig and Cally attended car shows and made a lot of good friends in the process. In his Imperial home, he practically lived in his big garage with his prized car, trophies, car posters, pictures from the car shows and massive collection of license plates from every state. Cally will be moving to Kansas to be with her parents and family. A gathering was held at J.S. McDonnell Park to honor Craig and bid farewell to Cally as she starts her new life. April 2021 Page 3

Commercial ve- hicles, such as police vehicles, are a focus of the com- pany under Ford CEO Jim Farley, who took over the helm from Jim Hackett in October. Demand for a police version of Ford's F-150 has grown steadily since its introduction in 2017. The police pickup is based on the consumer version of the truck but includes special options and tuning to "meet rigorous law enforcement use" at speeds of up to 120 mph. The vehicle also features a new "police engine idle," which allows officers to remove keys from the ignition and securely exit the truck with the engine running with the touch of a button.
