Born and raised in Southern California, he got his undergraduate degree in Oregon and his law degree at UC Berkeley. He is a Bankruptcy Attorney with offices in Castro Valley and Twain Harte. Matt’s real passion is automobiles, specifically unique ones which he proudly claims as part of his collection of 17+- automobiles some of which run on 2 and 3 cylinders because that’s all they have! He shares his passion for such arcane automobiles with a group of others who belong to the Arcane Auto Society which he and his wife Patricia helped to start several years ago. The group’s motto is “Hey – what the hell kind of car is that anyway?” He and Patty have one son, Miles, also a graduate of Cal, who may still hold the distinction of having the highest graduation GPA from James Logan High School in Union City. Matt Spielberg When prompted as to why he joined Rotary he replied “60 degrees” which he said was the angle that his next door neighbor and sponsor President Brian had twisted his arms behind his back to. Matt is looking forward to being a Hayward Rotarian (and regain full use of his arms and shoulders now that he’s joined!) Welcome Matt! d d TODAY’S PROGRAM dy Francis Tapon.
