Getting to Mie

Mie Prefecture is home to the Ise Shrine (Ise Jingu), 's most sacred Shinto shrine.

Mie is also famous for its seafood, including Ise spiny lobster and oyster, and for its high-class marbled wagyu beef called Matsuzaka Beef. The prefecture hosted the 42nd G7 on May 26-27, 2016 in Ise-Shima, the city blessed with magnificent history and culture, as well as the quality food from the sea and the mountains. As for travel to/from the airport, a ferry ride is provided between Mie and Central Japan International Airport, which takes about 2 hours each way.
