Officers of the Indiana Section of the M.A.A.

When the preliminary organization of the Indiana Section of the M.A.A. occurred at the October 26-28, 1916, meeting of the Mathematics Section of the Indiana State Teachers’ Association, the following officers were elected: S. C. Davisson, of Indiana University, chairman; W. O. Mendanhall, of Earlham College, secretary-treasurer; and F. H. Hodge, of Franklin College, executive committee members. Professor Davisson was listed in the M.A.A. Register as Chairman of the Indiana Section up to the time of the elections held at the First Meeting in 1924. Professor Mendenhall left Earlham in 1918 to become the President of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, but continued to be listed in the M.A.A. Register as Secretary-Treasurer of the Indiana Section through 1920.
