Press Release on Modification Works for the MTR Diamond Hill Station In
CB(1)786/12-13(01) PR021/13 25 March 2013 Enhanced facilities to make MTR Diamond Hill Station the future East Kowloon railway hub MTR Diamond Hill Station will be transformed into a major new railway hub for East Kowloon when the first phase of the Shatin to Central Link (SCL) commences service in 2018. Modification works will begin in mid-April to upgrade and enlarge Diamond Hill Station to serve as the future interchange station between SCL and the Kwun Tong Line. A new SCL concourse and platforms will be built and a wide array of enhanced facilities will be added there including the installation of 3 new lifts, 12 escalators, additional Ticket Issuing Machines, Automatic Teller Machines, shops, and new public toilet facilities. “We take on the feedback from the community on barrier-free facilities. By reorganising the station layout and exploring ways to overcome technical challenges, we have been able to maximize the number of lifts and escalators we can put into the station, “said Mr Jay Walder, Chief Executive Officer of MTR Corporation. “Passengers will enjoy the convenience brought by the new facilities at the Kwun Tong Line of Diamond Hill Station from the end of 2015, while the facilities at the new extension will be unveiled with the completion of the SCL in 2018,”said Mr Philco Wong, General Manager – Shatin to Central Link of MTR Corporation. In the intervening period, a number of temporary arrangements will be implemented at the station to facilitate construction works. “In planning the modification works, we will do our best to minimize the inconvenience caused to the passengers. -

LC Paper No. CB(4)610/15-16(05) Legislative Council Panel on Transport Subcommittee on Matters Relating to Railways Progress Update of the Construction of the Shatin to Central Link (As at 31 December 2015) Introduction This paper reports to Members on the progress of the main construction works of the Shatin to Central Link (“SCL”) as at 31 December 2015. Background 2. SCL, with a total length of 17 kilometres, consists of the following two sections – (a) Tai Wai to Hung Hom section: this is an extension of the Ma On Shan Line from Tai Wai via Southeast Kowloon to Hung Hom where it will join the West Rail Line; and (b) Hung Hom to Admiralty section: this is an extension of the East Rail Line from Hung Hom across the Victoria Harbour to Wan Chai North and Admiralty. 3. SCL will have ten stations. Apart from bringing improvements to the existing Tai Wai Station, the SCL project will involve construction of new stations or extension of existing stations at Hin Keng, Diamond Hill, Kai Tak, To Kwa Wan, Ma Tau Wai, Ho Man Tin, Hung Hom, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Admiralty. It is a territory-wide strategic railway project (alignment layout at Annex 1). Admiralty Station and Ho Man Tin Station will become integrated stations providing interchange service to passengers of SCL and South Island Line (East)(“SIL(E)”), as well as passengers of SCL and Kwun Tong Line Extension (“KTE”) respectively. 4. The Approved Project Estimate for the entire SCL project is $79,800 million (in money-of-the-day prices) and the project is funded by the Government under the “concession approach”. -

Prospectus MTR Corporation Limited ࠰ಥ᚛༩Ϟࠢʮ̡ (a company incorporated on 26th April 2000 under the Companies Ordinance of Hong Kong with company number 714016) and MTR Corporation (C.I.) Limited (a company organised under the laws of the Cayman Islands on 30th October 2000) (Unconditionally and Irrevocably Guaranteed by MTR Corporation Limited) US$3,000,000,000 Debt Issuance Programme For the issue of Notes with maturities of between one month and 30 years On 22nd December 1993, Mass Transit Railway Corporation (“MTRC”) entered into a US$1,000,000,000 Debt Issuance Programme (the “Programme”). The maximum aggregate nominal amount of Notes (as defined below) which may be outstanding under the Programme was increased to US$2,000,000,000 with effect from 1st June 1999 and to US$3,000,000,000 with effect from 31st October 2006. On 30th June 2000 MTR Corporation Limited (“MTRCL” or “the Company”) replaced MTRC as the issuer of Notes under the Programme. All the assets and liabilities of MTRC vested in MTRCL and MTRCL has adopted all of the accounts of MTRC. MTR Corporation (C.I.) Limited (“MTR Cayman”) became an additional issuer of Notes under the Programme with effect from 9th April 2001 pursuant to an Amending and Restating Programme Agreement dated 9th April 2001 made between MTRCL, MTR Cayman and the Dealers named therein (MTRCL and MTR Cayman together being the “Issuers” and each an “Issuer”). For the matters mentioned above, having consulted the Transport and Housing Bureau, the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), PlanD and HyD, the Development Bureau hereby provides a consolidated reply as follows: (a) Planning and Engineering Study on Sunny Bay Reclamation 3. When conducting the planning and engineering study on Sunny Bay Reclamation, we will explore development proposals with different land uses, inter alia, developing a multi-purpose venue for leisure and entertainment purposes, hotels and resorts, an international motor racing circuit, a large-scale entertainment and performance complex, recreational fisheries, logistics facilities, etc. Considering the unprecedented hit at the Hong Kong’s economy caused by the COVID-19 epidemic over the past year or so, profoundly affecting the travel and entertainment industries, we must exercise prudence in reviewing the priority of project implementation and seek funding approval for the related study from the Public Works Subcommittee and the Finance Committee at an appropriate time. -

Specifically, 1,204,000 is approximately the number of boardings per contract area a winter's day in Stockholm. Since the capacity and frequency of the metro service are already quite good in this city, this thesis does not focus on improve that. Its aim is to know the assessment made by metro users of the crowding produced during rush hour. This evaluation is performed by two questionnaires, one shorter that is carried out on board and one longer, online. But before starting with the surveys, this work introduces some general information about public transport in Stockholm and it distinguishes capacity and crowding concepts. Any human behavior begins with the attitudes and perceptions that people show to any particular aspect, from which and through their preferences, they define their behavior acting in one way or another. And once they have made their decision and have chosen to use a service, they will be able to evaluate it by their satisfaction level. -
