NOTE: The bundles in this collection occasionally contain documents not covered by the headings, e.g. a bill for materials and gloves (Box 1 F34) is with a bundle of Wills. Copies of some documents may be found in more than one place....Box 2, bundle C relates to sales of lands of the Hamerton, family, but identical documents may be found in other sections, , Much of the information in Box 4 may be found eleswhere. Some of the documents in this box recite the histories of certain of the properties. It would seem that hundreds of pounds was spent in lawyers fees, for searches and opinions, and for valuations, at various stages of the estates' histories* The results of the searches, and the lawyers’ working papers about them, are therefore episodical rather than classified.
