COORPAROO NAVY U12 @ CLEM JONES GYM

Under 12 Navy finished off first half of the season before the break with a training session at the Clem Jones Gym. The boys were put through their paces by the fitness guru Johnny and certainly worked up a sweat, but all had a great time.

The first half of the season the boys have been unlucky to only come away with the points once, but have had put in some really good performances and have showed improvement in their skills and fitness. They are looking forward to a big second half of the season.

Ben was another standout performer for us this week, and time and again was our impact player.

Special mention too to William, Tom and Patrick who all tipped in this week. A pretty tough week for a first up game with the U11 (especially for Patrick who needed to be carried off the field), but congratulations to all of you.

Redlands played a very dirty and ugly style of play last week, but we rose above that and proved that you can play a hard and tough game, whilst retaining our sportsmanship. Full credit for keeping the team focused was the direction from our Coach. Another gold star to Murray this week. Great job boys … you made all your parents very proud this week !!

We have been pushing for women’s footy to become more recognised and being able to be a part of Round 8 - Palm Beach Currumbin v Coorparoo @ the small group of women to play the first ever women’s game on Metricon is a privilege and I am so glad I am able to be a part of it’. This week the team travelled along down the highway for a game against Palm Beach. Unsure of what to expect, with only having two wins for the season so far we knew PBC would come at us tough and hard at the footy.
