 State CID has been designated as nodal agency for compiling and analysis of data on NDPS cases at state level  DY.S.Ps (Hqtr.) of all districts were appointed as a nodal officer for NDPS related issues. Trends in smuggling

 Ganja is being smuggled from the districts of Sundergarh, Shambalpur (Odhisa) to East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Simdega (Jharkhand)  Increase in destruction of opium crops in 2017 and 2018. Trends in smuggling

 Increase in demand from Bihar after complete ban on liquor.  Demand from Malda and Kolkata.  Cultivation of opium is more visible where the LWE problem exists. challenges
