Cliveland House Cliveland House BIRMINGHAM YOUR HOME Welcome to Birmingham AT THE NEXUS OF HERITAGE, DIVERSITY AND DYNAMISM Cliveland House BIRMINGHAM Located on a quiet stretch of canal within Birmingham’s historic Gun Quarter, Cliveland House comprises 52 apartments, just a 10-minute walk from Snow Hill Station and the Jewellery Quarter with more than 30 restaurants, bars and cafes. The Gun Quarter previously housed weapons assembling factories, and served as a key hub for the country’s industrial development over the past 200 years. Today, its picturesque canals, formerly used for the transport of raw material and finished goods, provide scenic waterway views lined with quality residential and lifestyle developments. “It is the chatter at cafes, the youth and diversity of our business community and the vibrancy of our cultural scene that truly demonstrate the optimism felt here.” - Neil Rami, Chief Executive of the West Midlands Growth Company Artist’s impression WHERE HERITAGE Set to become the new British property hotspot, Birmingham is a beguiling mix of history infused with future-forward infrastructure development. City centre transformation has created new office districts, retail schemes and hotels. These include Brindleyplace, the redevelopment of the Bullring and The Mailbox, as well as the recently completed Grand Central Shopping Centre adjoining New Street Station. The arrival of the High Speed Rail in 2026 will benefit the city, cutting travel time to London to a mere 49 minutes. Its growing popularity with tourists - currently at 42 million visitors per year - and its reputation as a world- class centre for higher education translates into the city attracting a significant number of international students, graduates and young professionals. With the average house price in Birmingham being 7.2 times the average salary compared to almost 17 times in London, Birmingham is now an attractive place for new and growing families. SMITHFIELD - FESTIVAL SQUARE The landscape of Birmingham will be helped along by the £500 million Smithfield project, regenerating the south of the city centre. It’s been described as bringing food, culture and community together. The focal point will be Festival Square - to rival the best Europe has to offer. PARADISE - CHAMBERLAIN SQUARE The Paradise development connects Chamberlain Square and Centenary Square, providing an attractive pedestrian access to Summer Row and the Jewellery Quarter. EASTSIDE LOCKS DIGBETH CANAL - POUND SQUARE This canalside regeneration initiative, worth some £450 million, is touted as Europe’s most exciting and important.
