Your decision to pursue a professional degree in this learning community says a couple of important things. First, you are awake. That is, you are alert to the presence of human suffering in this world. And you’d like to do something about it. To choose a career in healthcare is to choose a vocation of compassion. And so in your studies you will learn — even more deeply — how to see and to hear. Second, your enrollment here indicates a desire to learn how to touch. With skill. Our classrooms and laboratories are spaces where you will learn how to diagnose and treat, how to relieve pain, how to prompt healing. Your mind and your hands will gain knowledge: biological science, medical technology, and the human body itself will become subjects of discovery and expertise. The faculty and staff of Kettering College are committed to preparing you to become a compassionate and talented healthcare professional. It is our desire that you might join us in following the way of Jesus, who tenderly and effectively loved and cared for sick and broken people — bringing them gifts of healing and wholeness. I’m praying that you will enjoy a meaningful and successful school year. Sincerely, Nate Brandstater, PhD President 4 Academic Calendar WINTER SEMESTER 2018 Friday, Jan. 5 .......................................................
