Chair’s Welcom e A very warm welcome to our beautiful and varied Northumbria countryside. Our Area stretches from north of County Durham to the Scottish borders and we have 14 groups, offering walks of varied terrain and length, who are always happy to welcome visitors. I hope that you will find a walk and group that will enable you to enjoy what we have to offer, to take away happy memories and come back soon! Dogs on Walks Some groups do not allow accompanying dogs, apart from Registered Assistance Dogs. Please ask the walk’s leader if this is the policy. Ramblers’ Association Objectives The objectives of the Ramblers’ Association are to promote walking, protect rights of way, campaign for access to open country and defend the beauty of the countryside.
