Coaches Preview A voyage of discovery awaits this weekend as the Pirates come marauding into Plymouth on the back of a successful pre-season. Argaum may have tacked leeward in their own pre-season approach, searching for the challenging waters of edge, offload, speed and opportunity but only competitive action will see if these changes like Canute are merely fighting against the lemming tide of centralism, contact, slowness and risk aversion. Whilst the result to many will be the priority, as a playing group we will have a more balanced set of objectives based around performance, playing as we train and constant improvement. We may fire some subtle cannonade this weekend but the objective is to have a barrage of firepower options that might eventually sink one or several of the Bismarcks plying their trade in the gentle waters of the Cornwall & Devon League. To paraphrase Nelson, "No team can do very wrong if they place their ship alongside that of the enemy." Adrian Cameron
