Week of March 2 compared to week of July 13 at all the land ports of entry on the California border with Mexico has seen a decrease in passenger traffic.

o an average decrease of 42% in vehicles crossing

o an average decrease of 57% in pedestrians crossing

o 92-94% of travelers entering in vehicles and on foot were U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents

San Ysidro port of entry: o 38% decrease in vehicle traffic o 32% decrease in pedestrians : o 11% decrease in vehicle traffic o 39% decrease in pedestrians

Tecate port of entry: o 57% decrease in vehicle traffic o 44% decrease in pedestrians

Calexico West port of entry: o 37% decrease in vehicle traffic o 61% decrease in pedestrians

Calexico East port of entry: o 64% decrease in vehicle traffic o 83% decrease in pedestrians

Andrade port of entry: o 60% decrease in vehicle traffic o 85% decrease in pedestrians We continue to maintain a strong and secure economic supply chain across our border.

We have also experienced the following changes in cargo entering the U.S. during the week of March 2 compared to last week.

o +4% at the Otay Mesa cargo facility, (+14% laden, -23% empties)

o +6% at the cargo facility, (+10% laden, +1% empties)

o -11% at the Calexico cargo facility, (-20% laden, +3% empties) Current Port of Entry Hours of Operation • : Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for pedestrian and vehicle processing northbound/southbound. Processing is suspended at the newer Pedestrian West facility.

• Cross Border Express: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

• Otay Mesa port of entry: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for pedestrian and vehicle processing northbound/southbound.

• Tecate port of entry: For both vehicle and pedestrian northbound crossings, from 5 a.m. – 2 p.m. (daily).

• Calexico ports of entry: The Calexico West crossing remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for pedestrian and vehicle processing northbound and southbound. The Calexico East crossing is open for both pedestrian and vehicle northbound/southbound crossings, from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. (daily).

Otay Mesa Port of Entry Modernization

Project Cost: $134 Million Modernization & Expansion: o Site Acquisition $ 12 Million o Expansion of pedestrian-processing facilities; o Construction $122 Million doubling the processing facilities from 6 to 12 lanes. Otay Mesa Port of Entry Modernization

Current Status  Project is currently at 100% Design and Development  Interior and exterior construction fencing complete  Demolition of northwest area of the port has begun Saro Oliveri Section Chief – Trusted Traveler Program

• The Enrollment Centers at both Otay Mesa and Calexico are closed • There are NO interviews being conducted • This has been extended until August 10th

• CBP continues to field phone calls from the public

• Current wait times (approx.) to get conditionally approved from by Vetting Center • Global Entry: 8 months • SENTRI: 12 months
