Hindu Temples outside India There are a large number of temples outside India and it is estimated that there are close to 250 in USA, 40 in UK alone .There are temples in India before partition ie Pakistan and Bangladesh, ancient Hindu temples in Cambodia, Indonesia etc There are temples in places like Dubai, Japan, Russia, Nigeria and remote places like Surinam in South America also. Here is a glimpse of some of these temples. Temples in Singapore,Malayasia,Indonesia Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Singapore This temple of 1855 is dedicated to Lord Vishnu .The Gopuram though is a recent addition .It was declared as a national monument in 1978. Velmurugan Gnana Muneeswarar Temple, Rivervale Crescent Sengkang, Singapore Arulmigu Sri Raja Kaliamman Temple, Johor Baru, Malaysia Arulmigu Sri RajaKaliamman Temple (since 1922) is located in the State of Johor, Malaysia. The new King decided to convert the official religion of the empire from Hindu to Buddhist which continues to the present day. The Archaeological Survey of India carried out restoration work on the temple between 1986 and 1992. Since the 1990s, Angkor Wat has seen continued conservation efforts and a massive increase in tourism. The temple is part of the Angkor World Heritage Site, since 1992. Temples in USA Venkateshwara Temple, Malibu, California, USA There are two complexes – the upper complex with Lord Venkateswara as the presiding deity and the lower complex with Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. In addition to the presiding deity, both complexes have shrines for other deities Shiva-Vishnu Temple, Livermore, California, USA The Kumbhabhishekam (Consecration) of this temple was celebrated in 1986, followed by Mahakumbhabhishekam (12th anniversary) in 1998.
