ONE LorT e a c hd i n g M i n i s t r y Introduction On June 26, 2010 at 5:30 pm, I relaxed across my bed to read again the Book of Malachi. This reading assignment had been heavy in my spirit for weeks. Only a few minutes into the book, a heavy fatigue fell over me. I knew from experience that God wanted to talk. I submitted and lay my head on the pillow with my bible open. Just before He woke me at 7:30 pm, He said these Words: No More Religion Malachi was the TheLast prophet Second to speak Malachi to God’s people in the Old Testament. For the next 400 years, God’s anger with His people kept him silent. John the Baptist was the next prophetic voice to be heard. (Matt 11:12-15 and Matt 17:10-13) John the Baptist John the Baptist is the Elijah spoken of in Malachi 4:5. Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great an dreadful day of the Lord: Jesus spoke in Matt 17:12-13 12. But I say unto you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. No More Religion: The Second Malachi - Limited Edition 5 ONE LorT e a c hd i n g M i n i s t r y John the Baptist was said to have preached with the, “Spirit and Power” of Elijah. His message was, “Repent for the Kingdom of God is coming soon.” (Matt 3:2) In the Gospels, Jesus came as the Savior of the world and our redemptive sacrifice. (John 12: 44-47). John’s message was not about Jesus Christ the Savior but of Jesus Christ the Purifier. Malachi 3:1. Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, who ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, who ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. 2. But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’s soap: 3. and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver:…………….. John’s message was Repent because the Day of Judgment is at Hand. Repent because the Day of God’s Wrath is at hand. Repent because the Great White Throne Judgment is at hand. (Matt 11:10 & Malachi 3:1-5) God’s Messenger God called John, “My Messenger” (Malachi 3:1). Even before the First Coming of Christ, he preached of the Great White Throne Judgment that was to follow. Malachi 3:1. Behold, I will send my messenger…. Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts. 6 Dr. Yvonne Scott-Miller, One Lord Teaching Ministry • www.onelordteaching.org ONE LorT e a c hd i n g M i n i s t r y What is a Prophet A prophet is a Believer who: • Hears from God Often • Writes All that is heard • Acts only According to the Will of God • Speaks only when the Rhema (spoken work) is Confirmed by the Logos (written word) and the Holy Spirit says to speak. A New Generation of Prophets In the Last Days, Prophets of God will not be clothed in white robes with crosses around their necks. Like John the Baptist, their words will not be limited to a sanctuary of organized believers. They will be both young and old, males and females. They will have tattoos and rings in their noses and lips. They will be both Seminary Trained and Trained in the School of the Holy Spirit. Like John the Baptist, they will not be afraid to stand for God, even if it means standing alone. The world will know them because they will come in the Spirit and Power of Elijah. Signs and Wonders will follow their words and what they speak will come to pass. The message of the New Generation of Prophets is, “Repent for the Kingdom of God is at Hand.” (Matt 3:2) The Word Joel 2:28-29 28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see vision: 29. And upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. Listen for the Voices of the Prophets of The Last Days. Their purpose is to gather the sheep in time for the Rapture, which will occur before The Last Day. Patrick Woliver Copyright by Crystal Yvonne Sellers 2009 Abstract ―I Sing Because I‘m Free‖: Developing a Systematic Vocal Pedagogy for the Modern Gospel Singer With roots in the early songs and Spirituals of the African American slave, and influenced by American Jazz and Blues, Gospel music holds a significant place in the music history of the United States. Whether as a choral or solo composition, Gospel music is accompanied song, and its rhythms, textures, and vocal styles have become infused into most of today‘s popular music, as well as in much of the music of the evangelical Christian church. For well over a century voice teachers and voice scientists have studied thoroughly the Classical singing voice. The past fifty years have seen an explosion of research aimed at understanding Classical singing vocal function, ways of building efficient and flexible Classical singing voices, and maintaining vocal health care; more recently these studies have been extended to Pop and Musical Theater voices. Surprisingly, to date almost no studies have been done on the voice of the Gospel singer. Despite its growth in popularity, a thorough exploration of the vocal requirements of singing Gospel, developed through years of unique tradition and by hundreds of noted Gospel artists, is virtually non-existent.

It argues that these diverse expressions of Christian faith-fuelled abundance can be understood as a movement, for they stem from a cohesive set of shared understandings. First, the movement centered on Faith. It conceived of faith as an “activator,” a power given to believers that bound and loosed spiritual forces and turned the spoken word into reality. Second and third respectively, the movement depicted faith as palpably demonstrated in wealth and health. It could be measured in both in the wallet—one’s personal wealth—and in the body—one’s personal health—making material reality the measure of the success of immaterial faith.
