2014 Game Day Event Information Sincerely, Ten Feet Sports and Entertainment Staff Vancouver Stealth and Langley Events Centre Game Day Event Overview: The Vancouver Stealth and Langley Events Centre, in partnership with the BC Lacrosse Association, are excited to give BCLA members the opportunity to participate in Vancouver Stealth Game Day activities. Prior to Vancouver Stealth home games this season, there will be activities that will engage and involve BCLA members; there will be an option for Box Lacrosse skill sessions for Athletes or Coach and Parents education seminars. The Langley Events Centre, BC Lacrosse Association and Vancouver Stealth feel that these added-value events will be the beginning of a long and successful partnership that will continue to promote and develop lacrosse in BC.     CASE STUDY LANGLEY EVENTS CENTRE Langley, British Columbia (2016) The Langley Events Centre is home to the Western Hockey League’s Vancouver Giants and is a regular host for regional and national lacrosse, basketball, volleyball and gymnastic tournaments. Many iconic events have taken place at the facility, including the Special Olympics OWNER and the Holiday Festival on Ice (featuring Elvis Stojko). Township of Langley BACKGROUND SUPPLIER E.B. Horsman & Son In 2016 the Township of Langley had an opportunity to become hosts to the Vancouver Giants hockey team and required a space with WHL league-standard lighting to operate regular practices and games. As a result, the events centre needed to source a new LED ENGINEER arena lighting system & lighting controls and replace 108 1,000W metal halide sports lights. DMD & Associates The new system required a full range of colour temperatures reaching up to 5700K, instant Electrical Consultants on/off capabilities, and DMX controlled dimming for theatrical control (including internal optic control, external visors and 2 touch-screen wall control stations). CONTRACTOR Western Pacific Enterprises SOLUTION The Ephesus Arena Pro 600 Series fixture was selected to upgrade (one-for-one) the metal MANUFACTURER halide lights. The Prism Colour Series fixture was also added to the project, with 12 units Ephesus Lighting included in the installation to create unique fan effects and increase operational flexibility. The upgrade dramatically enhanced the spectators’ experience by incorporating the DMX high-performance lighting control system and allowing pre-set colour tuning adjustments at PRODUCTS the push of a button for warmer (basketball) and cooler (hockey) light temperatures.
