Open to Members and Non-Members.

This show is affiliated to Equifest 2017 and Trailblazers.

Prizes: Rosettes to 6th place in all classes. Sashes and rosettes for Championship winners and reserves.

Entry Fees for classes 1-7 & 11-34 SRC Members £7.00 per class. Enter three classes for £17.00 Non-Members £9.00 per class. Enter three classes for £23.00 Classes 8-10 SRC Members £3.00. Enter all three classes for £8.00 Non-Members £5.00. Enter all three classes for £14.00 First aid contribution (per competitor) £2.00 Entries will be taken on the day, pre-entries will be taken by the office.

Qualifiers: PLEASE NOTE: Classes are open to everyone; no registration of any kind is required to enter. It is the competitors’ responsibility to ensure they are eligible. Qualifications will be awarded as below. * TRAILBLAZERS (T): The 4 highest placed combinations will qualify from each Showing & Working Hunter Qualifier for the Trailblazers Championship Finals regardless of the number of entries in the Qualifier. Only qualified partnerships (horse / pony and rider) from a Trailblazers Qualifier are eligible to compete at the Trailblazers Championship Finals. Once qualifying partnerships have purchased their qualification card and sent it to the Trailblazers Show Secretary they are permitted to enter any Showing or Working Hunter Class for which they are eligible to compete in.

We will be handing out Trailblazers First Round qualifications on the day, these will need to be returned to the office within 14 days with £12.00 payment and a SAE envelope. The office will then send out Trailblazers Showing & Working Hunter Qualification cards which can be used to enter the Championships Finals at Stoneleigh on 29th and 30th July 2017.

* EQUIFEST (E): This show is affiliated to Equifest 2017, taking place at the East of Showground on 9th - 13th August 2017. The TWO highest placed exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify.

Class 1 Best Turned Out (T), to be judged on the condition and turnout of the horse/pony and turnout of handler.

Class 2 Mountain & Moorland (E) (T), open to small & large breeds, including registered and unregistered Fells, Dales, Highlands, Welsh, Exmoor, Dartmoor, New Forest, Connemara and Shetlands. Class will be split small/large breeds if entries warrant, please indicate which on entry form. This class is a qualifier for the Spillers Feeds Equifest In-Hand M&M class: open to ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies.

Class 3 Coloured (E) (T), open to skewbald, piebald, dun, palomino and spotted horses & ponies. This class is a qualifier for the BSPA Equifest In-Hand Piebald/Skewbald class: open to in-hand piebald/skewbald stallions, mare or geldings, four years old and over. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship, subject to their show rules and conditions. Sponsored by High Paddocks Livery Stables. This class is held in memory of Rosie Abbott, who raised more than £20,000 for various charities whilst bravely battling cancer herself. She was a Radio 1 Teen Hero and was also named a Child of Courage at the Pride of Coventry and Warwickshire Awards. Half of the proceeds from this class will be donated to her charity, Raise for Rosie, which continues her good work.

Class 4 Arab/Anglo Arab, open to part or full bred animals, registered or unregistered.

Class 5 Foreign Breeds (T), open to any other full or part bred horse/pony e.g. Irish Draught, KWPN and Haflinger. Mountain and Moorland ponies and Arab/Anglo Arabs may not enter this class.

Class 6 Any Age/Any Breed (T), open to horses and ponies not eligible for classes 2, 4 & 5. Mountain and Moorland ponies and Arab/Anglo Arabs may not enter this class.

Class 7 Veteran (T), open to horses/ponies aged 15 years or over.

Class 22 Riding Club/Pony Club Horse or Pony, will be required to jump a small jump. Class will be split if entries warrant, please indicate which on entry form.

Class 23 Best Rider, open to junior & senior riders. Class will be split if entries warrant, please indicate which on entry form.

Class 24 Family Horse/Pony, two riders will be required to illustrate suitability of the horse/pony to carry different family members. One to ride in go round and another rider will perform the individual show. Conformation and blemishes will not be taken into account.

Class 25 Lead Rein Pony (E) (T), open to ponies and riders on the lead rein. For Equifest qualification: Ponies four years old or over and not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have reached their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband only. This class is a qualifier for the Davey’s Livestock Transport Ltd Equifest Ridden Show Pony class. For Trailblazers qualification: pony must be 133cm and under.

Class 26 First Ridden Pony (E) (T), open to ponies aged four years and over. Pony to be suitable as a child’s first pony off the lead rein. For Equifest qualification: Ponies four years old or over and not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have reached their 10th birthday before 1st January of the current year. This class is a qualifier for the Snuggy Hoods Equifest Ridden Show Pony Lead Rein class. For Trailblazers qualification the pony must be 133cm and under.

Class 27 Riding Pony, open to ponies aged four years and over. Riders to be aged 16 years and under.

Class 28 Show Hunter Pony (E) (T), open to ponies aged four years and over. For Equifest qualification: Open to ponies aged four years and over and not exceeding 153cm. riders must be the correct for the height of pony they ride. This class is a qualifier for the KBIS Equifest Ridden Show Hunter pony class. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

RULES 1. Protective head gear as specified in the BHS Riding Club “Rules for Official Competitions” 2017 must be worn by everyone mounted, whether competing or not. Failure to do so will incur elimination. 2. All ridden horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over (may be under 4yrs for in hand classes and their relevant championships ONLY). 3. Objections to be made in writing to the Organisers, accompanied by a deposit of £10, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 4. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times. 5. Solihull Riding Club, its officers or anyone acting on their behalf shall not be held responsible for any accident, injury, loss or damage to or by horses, ponies, competitors, spectators or any persons, animals or property whatsoever. 6. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. 7. All ages are taken from 1st January in current year. 8. The judge’s decision is final. Abuse of any judge, steward or other official will not be tolerated. Anyone behaving in this manner will be asked to leave the showground.

HEALTH & SAFETY - The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
