16#ONEPORT As half time approached the big black cloud served as a warning as to what was to come. The wind had picked up and the rain had started and my goodness it was cold as the wind and rain swept across the ground. I was partly sheltered but it didn’t stop the rain hitting the laptop which resulted in the phone having to be used at times to keep the updates going. So when anyone complains about the lack of updates at a game please bear in mind that on occasions circumstances dictate how much we can actually bring. The end of the game couldn’t come quickly enough and I was really pleased that there was no extra time or pens as various parts of my body had frozen. We tried in vain to find a sheltered spot to do Liam’s interview which sounded like it had been done in a wind tunnel when we got it home. Back to the car to get warmed up and straight home arriving at 8.30. Website updated with manager interview online by 9pm wasn’t bad going after a long day. Can Blyth be any colder? Trips to Kettering who play at Burton Latimer and Gloucester playing in Evesham will push the ground count up to 244 by season end and maybe a couple of other neutral games will see the 250 in the next 12 months.

A slightly different design for the floodlights.

A familiar face in the South Shields team in the shape of Gilly coming out to warm up with Morgs. The pictures from the game were in the replay programme and the 2-2 draw was a fair reflection on the game which could have gone either way.
