On 1st March 2017 our cross country runners took part in the last race of the season. The league started with 10 schools and at the end of the second race Barrow Hedges were in 5th position.

SWIMMING

On Saturday 11th March 2017 children from Y4-6 had the opportunity to represent Barrow Hedges at the annual Sutton Borough Swimming Gala. The Gala is held at Westcroft Leisure Centre and is entered by schools and swimming clubs from across the Borough.

SCHOOL OF THE WEEK – CARSHALTON ATHLETIC FC

As part of our ongoing links with local sports clubs, Barrow Hedges were invited to be Carshalton Athletic FC’s ‘School of the Week” for their match against Three Bridges on Saturday 18 March 2017.

Pupils and their families had the opportunity to claim 4 free tickets for the match. A big thumbs up to all who attended the game as Carshalton Athletic went on to beat Three Bridges 5-1.

On Tuesday 28th March 2017 children from Y6 took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Showcase 2017. In January the children began a 12 week block of traditional dancing, learning the waltz, American Smooth, the jive and Charleston. SUTTON BOROUGH CYCLING On Wednesday 29th March a group of COMPETITION Y5 children represented BHPS at a Handball Festival held at Carshalton On Thursday 16th March 12 children Boys.
