Asia University (AU) aspires to become a prestigious international university. In response to the growing trend in the globalization of higher education, AU started recruiting international students in 2004, and has already admitted more than 2330 international students from more than 45 countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Chile, Colombia, Saint Vincent, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Germany, France, Finland, the United Kingdom, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Russia, Mexico, Canada, and the ,

In order to better serve and care for our fast growing number of international students, AU established its International College in August, 2010. This College provides a friendly living and learning environment and helps coordinate and integrate in-campus teaching and research resources for our international students. This College also supervises the assurance of quality of AU’s 15 English-taught international programs (as yet 2018) for both graduate and undergraduate students (See Chart A below). It meanwhile offers various CEFR levels of Mandarin Chinese courses to meet the needs of our international students for their academic studies and for daily life. It also works together with AU’s academic Colleges to create and offer summer programs for the visiting international students of AU’s partner universities around the globe (see Chart B below). Each year we receive more than 400 international students from AU’s partner universities for our summer programs.

The Center for International Academic Exchange The Center for International Academic Exchange (CIAE) is the designated office in Asia University in charge of international affairs, including international exchanges with partner universities around the world, as well as international recruitment of prospective students. We collaborate with a number of world class partner institutions offering student exchange and a range of other academic activities. We are proud of our comprehensive international involvement and we welcome opportunities to collaborate with other universities around the world. We help coordinate negotiations to establish student exchange programs, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and other partnership agreements. To date, we have established partnerships with 226 universities around the globe, such as Tsing Hua University, China, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, National University of Singapore, , Kindai University, Nagasaki University, Kyoto University, Japan, Ewha Womans’ University, Korea, Chiang Mai University, Prince of

Center for Creative Leadership To select students with high potential and foster their perspective in global vision, creative critique, leadership and social enterprising through curriculum, unofficial and potential curriculum so they will become leaders who actively participate in social welfare, invigoration of social reforms and the development in humanities. Our current program focus is to promote both OProSS (Overseas Professional Social Service) and DProSS (Domestic Professional Social Service) projects which encourage students to apply their professional knowledge and A-PBL (Advanced Project-Based Learning) technique while serving people and communities in need.

Center for the Development of Language Teaching and Research The Center boasts many quality language teachers, including international teachers from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and New Zealand whose diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds help establish a multicultural learning environment for our students.
