Inman Connect New York (ICNY) is the annual international real estate conference where the most signifcant developments and the latest trends are presented, where knowledge and skills are shared and international connections are built. The organization has built an attractive program around the conference. This leafet contains information regarding the program and the participants. We are convinced that this visit will bring our participants a lot of inspiration and new insights that they can apply to their business when they return. 4 PARTICIPANTS ICNY 2019 Hans van der Ploeg VBO Makelaar Director Hans van der Ploeg has been the director of VBO Makelaar since 2008. He is also a voting member of the Central Council of the NRVT (Dutch Register of Real Estate Valuers). Before he became director of VOB Makelaar, he was the director/owner of the real estate agency Stapper Vastgoed BV for 15 years. This agency was active in the Rotterdam area, both in residential and commercial real estate.

Hans van der Ploeg has held various management positions within VBO Makelaar. He served as an executive board member with ICT for four years and he was the chairman of the Commercial Real Estate division for two years.

Hans van der Ploeg has attended the Inman Connect real estate conference in January for years already. He is the initiator of this trip, with the intention to give the members and relations of the association the opportunity to pay a visit to this unique real estate event and to this impressive city. To get even more out of the visit, the association has organized various knowledge and networking events in New York where both Dutch and international real estate professionals and/or interested parties come together. LUCHT PARTICIPANTS ICNY 2019 Harry Bruĳniks VBO Makelaar Chairman of the Executive Board Harry Bruĳniks has been chairman of VBO Makelaar since May 19, 2017. He has been active in the retail sector for forty years. Harry Bruĳniks started his career as a product manager at BOAS BV. Subsequently he held various marketing management and executive positions at Albert Heĳn BV/AHOLD. For many years he was CEO at Laurus and then at Euretco B.V. In addition to being chairman of VBO Makelaar, he is also a board member of the Dutch Retail Trade Council, a member of the Supervisory Board of Panteia and a member of the Supervisory Board of Jumbo Supermarkten, Euretco and GS1.

Luke Liplĳn (VBO Makelaar relation) Matrixian Group Founder & CEO Luke Liplĳn is the CEO of Matrixian Group. As an entrepreneur with a passion for data-driven solutions, he has believed in using data to create a better life for more than 10 years already. In 2008, he sold his frst company to Experian, a company listed in the London Stock Exchange that is included in the FTSE 100 index. In 2013, he sold his data company to postal company Sandd. In 2016, he founded the Matrixian Group. This company PARTICIPANTS ICNY 2019 has applied its expertise at numerous companies, including Samsung, ASR, Rĳkswaterstaat, Sandd, GGN, Total Gas, Rabobank.

Paul Saman (member VBO Makelaar) Kindt & Biesbroeck Makelaardĳ Co-owner My name is Paul Saman, I am 43 years old and I live with my partner Joyce. I am a father of 4 daughters. We live in beautiful Zeeland Flanders on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. We are surrounded by a lot of great restaurants, so I like to eat out and I try to exercise as much as possible (bootcamp and crossft) to stay ft. Together with my partner, I am the owner of Kindt + Biesbroeck Vastgoed en Beheer, which is an all-round real estate agency with offces in Hulst, Terneuzen and recently in Cadzand-Bad. In the offce, we work with a team of 13 men and women in our various disciplines, including estate brokerage, commercial real estate consultancy and VvE (Association of Owners) management. In New York I hope to be able to speak to inspiring people, in addition to the experience of discovering this beautiful city, and to get some new ideas so that when I return to the Netherlands I can continue to innovate and revitalise. If all works well, I would like to listen to Ryan Serhant of Million Dollar Listing NYC at the fair. Curious if the city is also over the top “in real life”. 8 PARTICIPANTS ICNY 2019 Maarten Broekman (member VBO Makelaar) Maarten Makelaardĳ Director/broker My name is Maarten Broekman, co- founder of MAARTENMakelaardĳ. I am a fan and ambassador of the city of Rotterdam, the city where I live and work. This is also where Herjan Rook and I have two real estate agencies, plus one more in Drechtsteden. In 2019, we will have been around for 10 years already, and I am very curious about innovation in the brokerage world and certainly beyond our national borders. In 2009, we pioneered the use of social media as the main sales channel within the brokerage business. I expect to get inspiration in New York, and innovation power.

Herjan Rook RMT (member VBO Makelaar) Maarten Makelaardĳ Director/broker/valuer My name is Herjan Rook, co-founder of MAARTENMakelaardĳ and a member of VBO since 2009. In our own way, we have managed to become an established name in Rotterdam. Now that we have been in business for 10 years, we have to take part in the Inman. Right? I expect to get inspiration in New York, which we will be able to use in the interests of our customers in the coming period. In addition, I look forward to the time with the group in the bustling city of NY!

Annemarie Hoevens-Peeters (member of the General Board of VBO Makelaar) Hoevens Makelaardĳ BV Owner/broker/valuer Inman Connect New York has been on my wish list for many years. The last time I went, everything was canceled at the last minute because of snowstorms. Iamverycuriousaboutthetrendsand developments in the real estate world. Sharing knowledge, experiences and broadening your view always benefts your own business and development. I hope to gain a lot of inspiration and possibly implement the acquired knowledge in my daily practice. Besides the congress, frst and foremost is the inspiration from the program, professionalism, travelling companions and of course the city. I'm excited! I am 24 years old and for the past 2.5 years I have been the owner of the real estate agency that my father founded, Correct Makelaars. We specialize in second homes. Why am I going to New York? Going to America has always been a dream, and the real estate world there seems very attractive. This seemed to be the ideal opportunity to combine the best of both worlds and, above all, to learn a lot about innovations and to gain inspiration, and to hopefully take this back and apply it in the Netherlands.

Chester Baas (member VBO Makelaar) B2 Makelaars Co-owner My name is Chester Baas, and I have been working as an entrepreneur in the brokerage world for more than 10 years, and as a valuer for the past 4 years. Together with a partner (who won't be coming to NY) we own the agency B2 makelaars & taxateurs (no staff). We are active in both the Amsterdam and Haarlem regions. I am the father of 3 children aged between 9and20,Ienjoysports,tennis,football,bootcamp, obstacle runs and more. I have been looking forward to seeing New York with VBO for a few years already and am very excited to see and hear what it has to offer. I have been active as a broker (always RE/MAX) since 2004 and Iliketotraveltointernationalevents within our network to learn. Inman offers the opportunity to also acquire knowledge from outside RE/MAX and the icing on the cake for me is the chance to get in touch with companies that are looking for contacts in the Netherlands. This event is well known to all in the USA, so as a Rotterdam broker for a brand this is an opportunity I can't afford to miss. Dr. Martĳn Groot MRE RT is the director of RE/MAX Nederland and owner of RE/MAX Hoorn with 10 independent brokers. In the past he had three NVM offces and followed a MRE course at the Amsterdam School of Real Estate. With a passion for real estate and technology he has attended various international conventions in the past, but Inman Connect was still on his real estate bucket list. PARTICIPANTS ICNY 2019 Roos Versteeven (member of the Executive Board of VBO Makelaar) Mulder en Versteeven Makelaars Director/broker My name is Roos Versteeven, and I have been a broker/valuer for residential and commercial properties for about 15 years. I am also active in management and VvE (Association of Owners) management. I am going to NY to see how real estate works there, what is the future of the real estate industry is and to expand my network. I'm curious to see how they draw attention to properties, how the brokers stand out and what sales and valuation methods they use so that I can also apply this to my real estate business. Roos Versteeven has been a member of the executive committee of VBO Makelaar since June 2018. Hans van Dĳk (member VBO Makelaar) Flevomakelaars Director/broker Hans van Dĳk is the owner - director of Flevo Makelaars in Almere. The agency currently consists of 8 brokers - valuer and support. Flevo Brokers is well known in Almere for always being available and for being socially active. Hans is coming to New York because it is good to broaden your horizon as a broker and also to experience new developments and to see how they are used. Of course it is also good to get to know colleagues and to talk about the beautiful profession together. After a few detours I ended up in the real estate business 27 years ago, at the offce of RM/T real estate. Ialwaysworkedunderthebigwingsof Hoekstra and van Eck, but I have been a member of VBO makelaar under my own name Makelen & Advies since December 2017. IlivewithmyhusbandandthreedaughtersinMuiden,and Ialsohaveahomeoffcethere.Thethreegirlsareaged 14, 16 and 18 and they keep us busy. When we have free time we enjoy traveling with our 30-year old camper through Spain and Italy.

Koen Hamelink is co-owner of Reham Makelaars and Taxateurs which has been active since 1995 on the Zeelandic Flemish housing market. Koen Hamelink also attended Inman Connect in New York in 2018. Once again he hopes to meet a lot of interesting people, get inspired by the different seminars at Inman Connect and experience the impressive city life in New York. Gĳs de Jager (VBO Makelaar honorary member) Amstelkroon Vastgoed B.V. Owner Gĳs de Jager has been an entrepreneur since 1981, for more than thirty-fve years. He is mainly active in the real estate industry sector. He develops and operates, among other things, real estate in the Netherlands, Georgia and the United States. Gĳs de Jager is a former member of the board (treasurer) of VBO makelaar.

We are constantly looking for innovation and improvement and after a successful visit to the Inman Connect in 2018, I am again curious this year about the trends in the USA.

Pieter Kuĳt (member of Executive Board of VBO Makelaar) Owner Saltus Taxaties IamPieterKuĳt,I'm48yearsoldandI've been a broker since I was 17. I was in the last group of brokers who were sworn in by the court to become a real estate agent, after which they abolished the protected title and everyone could call themselves a broker.

IhavebeenamemberofVBOmakelaarsince2011,Iwas amemberoftheregionalboardandnowadaysIama member of the daily management as treasurer. Since May of this year I am responsible for real estate management at a regional accounting frm. I also work on aself-employedbasisasabrokerandvaluer.

I'm going to Inman Connect because I am very curious to see what we can expect in the real estate market in a country that is always slightly ahead of the curve. Furthermore, I have never been to New York, so I am going to explore the city!
