Daniel was presented with the medal by His Royal Highness Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh at a ceremony in St James’s Palace. However, in order to cement relationship, Daniel recently visited Marshall to learn a little bit more about the Company, whose name is inscribed on the medal. Polizia di Stato Europei di scherma: Alice Volpi vince la medaglia di bronzo Ancora un podio continentale per la campionessa delle Fiamme oro Alice Volpi che, sulle pedane di Novi Sad (Serbia), ha vinto la medaglia di bronzo dei Campionati europei di scherma, piazzandosi terza nella specialità fioretto femminile individuale. Dopo un avvio di torneo un po’ in sordina, con 2 sconfitte subite sui sei assalti del girone di qualificazione, Alice ha iniziato a suon di vittorie la sua scalata verso il podio, iniziando dal tabellone delle 64. Nel primo assalto ad eliminazione diretta la portacolori del Gruppo sportivo della Polizia di Stato ha avuto la meglio sulla britannica Ayesha Fihosy per 15-5; nel turno successivo ha eliminato la francese Anita Blaze per 15-9, mentre, nel tabellone delle 16, ha affrontato la polacca Julia Walczyk, battendola per 15-10. Nel quarto di finale Alice ha superato nettamente l’ungherese Fanny Kreiss, eliminata con il punteggio di 15-4. In semifinale è andato in scena il derby azzurro tra Alice Volpi e Arianna Errigo, che si è imposta sulla portacolori cremisi per 15-8, per poi essere a sua volta battuta dalla russa Inna Deriglazova (15-9) nell’assalto valido per la medaglia d’oro.
