RIDER NOTES (From Rider Sports Information) Rider head coach Gary Taylor will seek to become just the second active wrestling coach to compile 400 wins at a Division I program. Coach Taylor is in his 36th season at Rider and enters Friday’s dual meet with a career record of 399-226-4. University of Minnesota head coach Jay Robinson is the only active head coach to have 400 wins all at a Division I program with 411.

Rider (9-5, 3-1 EWL) is coming off a sixth place finish at the VA Duals, where the Broncs won three of five matches, including wins over Arizona State, The Citadel and EWL-foe George Mason.

The Broncs, ranked third in the EWL, are led by sophomore Robert Deutsch, who is ranked 16th in the nation at 125.

Sophomore Curt Delia was recently named the EWL Wrestler of the Week after going 5-0 at the VA Duals.

Hofstra recorded three bonus point victories, including a tech fall by freshman Jamel Hudson, but the Tigers had four wins by bonus points, includ- ing a win by fall to get the victory. In addition to Hudson’s tech fall at 133, Hofstra received major decision wins by graduate-student Joe Booth at 165, and senior Jamie Franco at 125.

Pride third year coach Rob Anspach is the 11th head wrestling coach in Hofstra history. He is a 2001 alumnus and had previously served on the Pride staff as an assistant coach.

Senior Luke Vaith, who is 19-4 on the season at 141 pounds, is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Southern Scuffle. He is ranked seventh by Flowrestling, eighth by AWN, 10th by WIN, 13th by InterMat and 14th by the Wrestling Report. Vaith suffered an injury at the Scuffle that caused him to forfeit his final two matches.
