Contents: Contract No. CV/2013/08 - Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Site Formation and Infrastructure Works - Contract 6 The works include construction of a 4.6 km long dual two-lane trunk road (with about 0.6km at grade roads, 3.3 km viaducts and a 0.7 km tunnel) connecting Road Interchange to BCP, and the associated environmental mitigation measures, landscaping, drainage/sewerage, waterworks and utilities works. The objective of the visit is for members to observe the latest lifting frames for segmental bridge construction. In addition, the Guidelines on Safe Use of Lifting Frames and Launching Girders for Bridge Construction have been published by the Labour Department, in consultation with and support of the Development Bureau, the Highways Department and the Civil Engineering and Development Department. Adverse  The visit will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 3 or Black/Red Rainstorm Weather: Warning is hoisted at 7:00 am on 9.12.2017.  If Black/Red Rainstorm Warning is hoisted during the visit, participants should stay in the venue until the end of the event and the condition is safe to leave.  Individual participants will be informed of a new schedule as soon as possible in case of the adverse weather or cancellation of the visit.

Assembly: All participants should meet at the MTR Station Exit A at 9:30 a.m. for registration. The shuttle bus will leave at 9:45 a.m. Please be punctual.

CPD: A CPD Certificate of 2.5 hours will be issued to each participant who has completed the entire duration of the visit. The participants shall collect their own attendance certificates (without the Institution’s stamp) during registration. Upon completion of the visit, the participants shall receive a stamp on the certificates. Only certificates with the Institution’s stamp are considered as valid CPD certificates.

Remarks: To prevent the spreading of influenza, any participant who has symptom(s) of flu, e.g. fever, cough and runny nose, etc, is not recommended to attend the seminar, or is advised to put on a face mask throughout his / her stay at the seminar.
