Thank Congressman Engel Congressman , Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, signed on to a letter this week that urges the president to remain vigilant to the longstanding policy of the to oppose any one sided initiatives that may arise at the United Nations concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The letter, a bipartisan initiative, states that United States must send a clear message that the goal of a Jewish state living side-by-side in peace with a demilitarized Palestinian state can only be achieved through direct negotiations between the parties. It states that un- helpful resolutions at the United Nations Security Council and unilateral Palestinian actions at other international bodies will only undermine the prospects for peace. The United States should work together with Israel to counter the surge in Palestinian ter- rorist activities and urge the Palestinians to return to the negotiat- ing table.

Please take a moment to thank Congressman Engel for his staunch and unwavering commitment to a strong US-Israel relationship (718-796-9700).
