PHIL HAWKINS – Director/Writer

Phil Hawkins is an award-winning features and commercials director. He directed his first short film when he was 13, continuing to write, direct and edit shorts and promos regularly to hone his skills as a filmmaker. An early passion for the theatre provided invaluable insight into writing for, working with and directing actors. He has directed five feature films that have crossed different genres including a classic Greek tragedy, a comedy satire and a psychological thriller.

His latest work is the critically acclaimed passion project Star Wars: Origins. Shot on location in the Sahara, the film is a combination of Star Wars and Indiana Jones that has been described as an “epic masterpiece” with over 1 million views and counting. He has also recently completed the LGBT drama Say Grace which has picked up multiple awards at international festivals and is now available on streaming services.
