RULES AND REGULATIONS All competitors must agree and understand the rules and regulations of this event. Safety is the number one concern in this event. If a competitor fails to abide by these rules and regulations, it may lead to forfeiture of their spot in the competition qualifiers and/or competition finals. IMPORTANT: Only you are able to assess your own athletic abilities, health and physical strength and stamina. You should not undertake, and Rebounderz does not encourage, any acts that you believe will endanger or injure you or anyone else. OVERVIEW OF NINJA WARRIOR COMPETITION: The Qualifying Competitions are held on Thursday, July 27th from 2:30pm – 5:00pm for the Age Groups 1-3 and 6:00pm – 8:30pm for Age Group 4. Each competitor will have their chance to attempt the course. The Competition Finals are held on Friday, July 28th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm for Age Groups 2&3 and 6:00pm – 8:00pm for Age Group 4. AGE GROUPS • 1st age group: Ages 7 and under – Ninja Fun Run o Competes on lanes 1 & 2 • 2nd age group: Ages 8 – 15 under 60” tall o Competes on lanes 1, 2, 3 & and the warped wall) • 3rd age group: Ages 8 – 15 60” tall and over o Competes on full course (Lanes 1-5 & warped wall) • 4th age group: Ages 16 and older o Competes on full course (Lanes 1-5 & warped wall) RULES FOR AGES 7 AND UNDER NINJA FUN RUN The Ninja Fun Run will not be judged on time. This segment of the competition is for the little ninjas to have fun experiencing the course with Reko Rivera and Jonathan Ruiz, 2 American Ninja Warrior competitors from the TV show! RULES FOR AGE GROUP 8-15 UNDER 60” TALL: Qualifying Competition (7/27/2017): This age group will be competing on lanes 1, 2, 3 and will finish on the warped wall to qualify for the Final Competition. Each competitor will have their turn to attempt the course. If a competitor falls off of an obstacle their time will be finalized and recorded at that obstacle, but they are welcome to finish their run. If the competitor makes it to the warped wall, they will have 3 tries to make it up the warped wall. Your whole body must be on the top of the wall platform and hit the buzzer for your attempt to be valid. In the event a competitor cannot conquer the warped wall within 3 tries, their time will be stopped, finalized and recorded. The top 10 competitors within this age group who complete the designated portion of the course and/or the runner’s up on the course who, without breaking the rules or being disqualified, as determined by Judges in their discretion, will move on to the Finals Competition on Friday, July 28th. Finals Competition (7/28/2017): The top 10 competitors will compete on lanes 1, 2, 3 and will finish on the warped wall. Each competitor will have their turn to attempt the course. If a competitor falls off of an obstacle or touches the red foam pads below the obstacles, their time will be stopped and that obstacle will be recorded as their finishing obstacle. The competitors will be ranked based on their time and the numbers of obstacles completed. The Top 3 competitors from this age group will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals in the closing ceremonies. RULES FOR AGE GROUP 8-15 OVER 60” TALL: Qualifying Competition (7/27/2017): This age group will be competing on the entire course (5 lanes total) and will finish on the warped wall to qualify for the Final Competition. Each competitor will have their turn to attempt the course. If a competitor falls off of an obstacle or touches the red foam pads below the obstacles, their time will be stopped and that obstacle will be recorded as their finishing obstacle. Competitors are welcome to finish their run if they would like. If the competitor makes it to the warped wall, they will have 3 tries to make it up the warped wall. The competitors will be ranked based on their time and the numbers of obstacles completed. The Top 3 competitors from this age group will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals in the closing ceremonies. GENERAL COMPETITION RULES THAT APPLY TO ALL COMPETITORS: • IMPORTANT: Only you are able to assess your own athletic abilities, health and physical strength and stamina. You should not undertake, and Rebounderz does not encourage, any acts that you believe will endanger or injure you or anyone else. • General climbing chalk and general athletic tape are allowed in order to assist competitors. Gloves and sticky finger products are NOT allowed. Competitors will be allowed to wear chalk bags on the course. However, each chalk bag will be considered part of your persons. (E.g. if the chalk bag touches behind a boundary, it will be considered a fail). • Scoring the Competition: o Competitors will be ranked based on their completion of the course (including the warped wall), their time, and/or the furthest element they reach. ▪ (i.e. if 5 people have completed the course they are ranked by the fastest times. If not all competitor final spots are filled with those who have completed the course, then those who have gotten to the furthest element with the fastest times will move into the competitor final spots.) • All competitors must utilize the first element of each obstacle. You are not permitted to completely skip an obstacle to maximize your time. If you do skip the first element of an obstacle you will be required to go back to the start of that particular obstacle. This will be heavily monitored by the judges inside the course. • All competitors must wear athletic clothing and athletic closed toed shoes. o No chains or dangling material of any kind o No flip-flops, crocs, sandals, etc. o No jewelry (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, dangling earrings, etc. Small stud earrings are okay) • All competitors are required to fill out a waiver. If you do not have a waiver completed, you will not be permitted to compete. • Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. This competition is designed for fun and to challenge competitors. If a competitor is not abiding by the rules set forth, we reserve the right to remove them from the competition. .
