  • Brigadier General James R. Camp
    U N I T E D S T A T E S A I R F O R C E BRIGADIER GENERAL JAMES R. CAMP Brig. Gen. James R. Camp is the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Ohio National Guard. He is responsible to the Ohio Adjutant General for directing Air National Guard operations and establishing policy to ensure mission readiness of more than 5,100 personnel assigned to four flying wings and six geographically separated support units. General Camp earned his commission in 1990 through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. Following his commission, General Camp attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. Prior to assuming the post of Assistant Adjutant General for Air, General Camp commanded the Ohio Air National Guard’s 179th Airlift Wing, Mansfield, Ohio. He has served in a number of operational and staff positions throughout his career to include the Ohio National Guard Director of Human Resources, 745th Special Operations Squadron (Provisional) Commander, and Coordinator and Tanker Control Duty Officer with the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center. General Camp is a command pilot with more than 4,000 hours of military flight time. Throughout his career, he has deployed in support of operations Deny Flight, Decisive Endeavor, Noble Eagle, Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.     Michael J. Aguilar Brigadier General United States Marine Corps Retired General Aguilar retired from the United States Marine Corps January 1, 2002. His last duty assignment was as the Deputy Commander Marine Forces South and Commanding General Fleet Marine Forces South. During this tour he served as the Commanding General Joint Task Force Panama providing anti-terrorism and force protection during the final transfer of property and facilities of the Panama Canal to the government of Panama. Brigadier General Aguilar was born May 10, 1950 in Los Angeles California. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant July 15, 1971 and designated a Naval Aviator November 3, 1972. During his 31-year Marine Corps career he held a variety of flying and command billets, accumulating over 4000 hours in both fixed winged and helicopters, primarily as an Attack Helicopter Pilot. In addition to commanding a helicopter squadron and air group he was also the Director of the West Coast Drill Instructor School, the only aviator to ever hold the billet. Staff assignments include Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and Deputy Director for Operations, the National Military Command Center, the Joint Staff. Brigadier General Aguilar is a graduate of National University and the Naval War College and holds a master’s degree in Strategic Studies and National Security Affairs. He is a veteran of the Gulf War. His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Serviced Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. He has the added distinction of being the first person of Mexican descent to reach the rank of General Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

    Brigadier General Lewis M. Boone Director, U.S. Army Physical Disability Agency Brigadier General Lewis Boone was commissioned a second lieutenant of Infantry in 1980 following graduation from the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Western Maryland College with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Following commissioning, he attended the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, before heading to his first assignment, at 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, in Erlangen, Germany. There he served as a platoon leader and company executive officer with the 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry. For his next assignment he returned to Fort Benning to attend the Infantry Officer Advanced Course and Ranger school. He remained at Fort Benning to serve with the 29th Infantry Regiment as armored carrier operations chief, battalion motor officer and company commander in both 1st and 2nd Battalions, 29th Infantry, and later as operations officer for the 29th’s Bradley Training Detachment. Brigadier General Boone next attended the Defense Information School at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., and then moved to Fort Bragg, N.C., where he began his tenure in Army public affairs as commander of the 49th Public Affairs Detachment and later as the XVIII Airborne Corps command information officer. During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, he served as the XVIII Airborne Corps public information officer with the primary duty of escorting media during both operations. Following redeployment from Southwest Asia, he served as the 82nd Airborne Division public affairs officer until departure for Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to attend the Command and General Staff Officer School.
