However, trace of slope failure or debris flow cannot be found, though the study team conducted a field reconnaissance survey. The team found sheet erosion at the wide subdivisions/resorts of Village (Desa) Hambarang, parts of which are still under construction and also conversion areas of forest to vegetable field at Village Gunung Geulis. But, it is judged that sediment volume eroded from these areas cannot aggradate river bed in consideration of its volume, though river water contains wash load, most of which is transported to the Java Sea without deposition. 3.12 SURVEY ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT A survey was conducted through interview to inhabitants so as to collect information on socio-economic and culture environment of inhabitants and informal dwellers in three (3) flood prone areas in DKI Jakarta, namely 1) South Jakarta (Tebet District, Manggarai Sub-district), 2) Central Jakarta (Kemayoran District, Serdang Sub-district) and 3) North Jakarta (Penjaringan District, Penjaringan Sub-disctict) as shown in Figure 3.18. Short Research Article The Influence of Social Media on the Domestic Tourist’s Travel Motivation Case study: Kota Tua Jakarta ABSTRACT The growth of information and technology has given significant influence on the tourism industry and system, both positive and negative impacts. As of now, through social media, tourists and destinations or tourism attractions may interact with one another, monitor, and give opinions, as well as evaluate every form of service given firsthand, by various internet platforms. One of the heritage site tourism attractions that utilize social media in attracting tourists’ interest is Kota Tua. This study aims to identify social media used by the Kota Tua tourism area manager as a media to promote; furthermore, this study compares the performance of each social media platforms. In addition, this study also examines the influence of social media toward tourist motivation in visiting Kota Tua Jakarta. The approach utilized in this study is quantitative with a descriptive method. Whereas the sampling technique used is incidental sampling with the number of involved respondents of 100 people. Gathered data is then analyzed through linear regression analysis method by using SPPS v.25.0 program. Linear regression analysis is conducted to see if there are any social media influences toward the tourist motivation of visit. This study has found that visitors that come to Kota Tua are mostly High school students, whereas the most frequently used type of social media to access information about Kota Tua is Instagram. The result of data analysis also shows that there is indeed a correlation between social media variable with the tourist motivation of visit to Kota Tua Jakarta. -

3.8 LAND ACQUISITION 3.8.1 Procedures of Land Acquisition The new law on Land Acquisition Procedures is stipulated in Presidential Regulation No 36/ 2005 issued May 2005. The law should be effective since the issued date, but so far the implementation of this law is being argued. Therefore, the State Minister of Land No.1/1994, which was prepared for the Presidential Decree No.55/1993, is still used as a guideline. Following is a case of land acquisition procedures actually on-going for the Eastern Banjir Canal. Land acquisition is financed by local government budget (APBD: Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Daerah). This is the reason the DKI Jakarta takes responsibility for the land acquisition of the Eastern Banjir Canal. (1) The CILCIS, the project owner, submits a proposal of the land acquisition to the Governor of the DKI Jakarta via Provincial Land Agency. The proposal describes: (a) project location, (b) the area and maps of the required land, (c) existing land use of the required land, and (d) general project description, including financial sources and construction duration. (2) The Governor checks that the project is already mentioned/stipulated in the DKI’s Regional Spatial Planning (Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah) before land acquisition is processed. In case of the Eastern Banjir Canal, this has already set in the DKI’s Spatial Planning in 1993. (3) If not included, then the governor rejects land acquisition of the project. (4) The Governor creates Committees at Provincial level and Local (municipality) level. Since, the Eastern Banjir Canal passes through two (2) municipalities of Eastern Jakarta and Northern Jakarta. -

This research is part of a multi- year study that examines historical attachments in conservation areas as the main topic and discusses several case studies. Fatahillah Museum has been taken as a case study which located in the Old City area of Jakarta. The idea of this research is based on the existence of social and cultural phenomena in the community concerning conservation of architecture for historic buildings. The community in Jakarta as a metropolitan city has a direct impact on the implementation of the concept of building conservation. By digging up information from literature and old archives of historic buildings in Jakarta Old Town, as well as collecting data and explained using descriptive qualitative analysis, case studies can be described thoroughly. The results of this study through community perceptions turned out to be able to present a historical level of attachment to colonial buildings, especially the Fatahillah Museum in the Old City District of Jakarta. Overlooked for years, Kota Tua (Old Town) is once again a hub of vibrant activity. The key to success has been a partnership between the City of Jakarta and a con- sortium of private parties. The government triggered the revival process by pedestrianising the historic streets, creating new public spaces and cleaning up the canals. Meanwhile, a group of passionate like-minded individuals saw the potential in the properties, which date back to the Dutch colonial era. They started using empty spaces for pop-up galleries, shops and cafes to bring life back to the neighbourhood. Now established as Konsorsium Kota Tua Jakarta, this group helps owners of dilapidated properties to renovate and repurpose their buildings and to find suitable tenants. In just a few years they managed to do what no-one thought possible: make the old city more than a tick on your tourist itinerary, but a destination that you want to come back to. In fact, Kota Tua may one day become a UNESCO World Heritage town. 156 KEY PROBLEMS ∞ Lack of pedestrian areas.
