Unique Companion Animal Folder Project

Directions: You are to select a unique companion animal to research. Possible choices are listed below. The majority of your information is to be gathered from Ag Ed Net. The website is www.agednet.com user name mn0211 and password vikings. After researching your animal, complete the components listed below. Each item will be placed in a folder that could be given to a new pet owner. Resources should be sited on their respective component.

Components:

  1. Create flash cards for at least ten different breeds.
  1. Develop advertisements for at least three different options or brands of housing.
  1. Put together an identification or “cheat sheet” showing all of the equipment required.
  1. Compose a menu for your animal with different food options. Be sure to back up your choices with health information.
  1. Produce a timeline outlining the stages before, during and after reproduction.
  1. Generate a check list of tasks that should be completed on a regular basis to care for your animal.
  1. Assemble a reference guide or fact sheet describing items related to handling you animal.
  1. Decorate your folder according to the animal you selected. Be sure to include the animal as well as the author (you) on the front.
