Copies of the minutes of the work session held July 15, 2008 and the minutes of the regular meeting held July 22, 2008 were forwarded in advance to all members of the Board of School Directors.

Mr. Bohanak requested additional voting information to the meeting minutes of July 22, 2008.

2) Instructional Software Support Specialists in the amount of $17,053.60 for the 2008-2009 school year.

3) Mentors in the amount of $27,114 for the 2008-2009 school year.

5) Additions to the supplemental list of coaches for the fall season of the 2008-2009 school year:

a) Ryan Nyce in the amount of $1,564.20 as an assistant freshman football coach.

Approve a transportation study by Dr. Reese Lichtel in the amount of $7,500.

5. SCHOOL LUNCH PRICES

Approve the following school lunch prices for the 2008-2009 school year reflecting a $.15 increase per level:

Elementary Lunch $2.25 Arcola Lunch $2.55 High School Lunch $3.15

Mr. McCall announced an additional item, a bid for music instruments, for next week’s agenda.

Dr. Quinn further explained the need for the transportation study.

Mrs. Barbone questioned the increase in lunch prices.

C. PERSONNEL

1. EMPLOYMENT – PROFESSIONAL

a. Kristen Daciw, special education instructor at Eagleville Elementary School. Salary: $47,316 based on Masters, Step 2.5. Effective for the 2008-09 school year. This is a replacement position.

b. Michelle Mason, grade four instructor at Worcester Elementary School. Salary: $42,724 based on Bachelors, Step 2.5. Effective for the 2008-09 school year. This is a replacement position.

2. EMPLOYMENT – LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE – PROFESSIONAL

a. Robert Corcoran, long-term substitute grade six science instructor at Arcola Intermediate School. Salary: $41,500 (prorated) based on Bachelors +15, Step 1. Effective for the first semester of the 2008-09 school year.

b. Kathryn Phillabaum, long-term substitute grade five instructor at Worcester Elementary School. Salary: $41,500 based on Bachelors +15, Step 1. Effective for the 2008-09 school year.

Page 4 of 7 c. Therese Roberts, long-term substitute grade two instructor at Arrowhead Elementary School. Salary: $41,000 (prorated) based on Bachelors, Step 1. Effective for the start of the 2008-09 school year through November 6, 2008.

d. Jennifer Roth, long-term substitute grade two instructor at Woodland Elementary School. Salary: $41,000 (prorated) based on Bachelors, Step1. Effective for the start of the 2008-09 school year through December 8, 2008.

3. UNCOMPENSATED LEAVE – CLASSIFIED

a. Michelle Duca-Dinich, instructional assistant at Woodland Elementary School. Effective for the 2008-09 school year.

b. Bridget Niemirovich, bus driver. Effective September 26, 2008 through November 10, 2008.

Mr. Lynch questioned the location of the board meetings; preferring the LGI over Arcola.

Mr. Bohanak commented positively on the Arcola location for board meetings.

Ms. Petrauskas commented on a recent article in the Times Herald commending Arcola Intermediate School and Methacton High School.
