1. Update from Renfrewshire Council & Chair / AT delivered update for MkF.
Pond coping in.
Still waiting for weeding to be done.
Contractor to remove their rubble from pond.
(RR awaiting email from MkF with pond clearing details.
RR provided PDE cutting describing pond as a cesspit. PDE reported Renfrewshire Council spokesman saying cleaning would take place today - has not happened.)
May also be money for trees and wild flowers.
(RR asked again about given totals of money spent not adding up. Would like comment from MkF/Renfrewshire Council.)
Gates will be paid for from the War memorial Fund. Will happen within 4/6weeks.RR asked why was this?
Development officer job advertised.
(Appointment will be soon.
( RR pointed out that there seems to be 2 jobs advertised, Dev officer and asst dev officer. they will report to the “Regeneration Manager” RR suggests inviting the Regeneration Manager to a meeting. RR would also like to see the “master plan. Hopefully more detailed than the presentation by Gillespies) / Remove rubble

Dog mess in the play park will be addressed by putting up more signs keeping dogs out. (KS pointed out that Lauras’ Play Park is accessible to dogs due to a fence section having been removed. KS will supply a photo.)
MkF said bins are emptied twice daily. ( KS & RR said bins were overflowing today. RR has a photo)
State of building behind walled garden will be raised via the “Repair System” It may be demolished. ( KS warned that if they do this, the wall may fall down. )
Old stones from the pond are behind the walled garden. (RR reports that they are smashed. )
Mkf will contact Archie or Karen from payback Team. Will invite to FOBP meeting.
No update on railway question from last meeting
(RR reported that a shopping trolley was left abandoned in the park for 3 days without being removed by RC)
A wheelchair swing may be added to the playpark.RR asked why was this as this was suggested back in January as a legal requirement

Railway fence may be repaired with part of bike track fence.
KS reports Renfrewshire web site still not updated, but newspaper stories direct readers to that page. Google results which are repeated on the web page state that Barshaw park is closed on Sundays.

2 Development Officer's Report / KS is going to deliver a talk to WI in Bridge of Weir on 7 October. The talk will focus on WW1 Trails and on Belgian refugees.

3, Secretary’s Report / In view of the number of points of action raised at our meetings will used a table form of minutes in future, making it cleared what action required by whom and when.
Liz Corbett the Park Run representative will be invited to our next meeting. Considered arranging a separate meeting with her, but best if MkF present for initial meeting.
Berserk Computers (BC) have moved our web site to another hosting company and is improved. Can now access and reply to emails directly from dashboard. a lot of spam though! Will look at improving filter.
Lhyam from BC has given IM instructions on how to add MF as an administrator. Will add and if necessary a meeting can be arranged with Lhyam, MF & IM re administering the site. / Draft new minutes template

4 Treasurers Report / Bank Balance 6128.29.
Tesco Bags of Help have now paid the grant of £5000 into FOBP bank account. Groundworks required lots of info etc before payment was made but done now.
Lots of Terms and conditions to the grant, eg, must have written equalities policy, protection of vulnerable people, etc. Park run have their own policies which are most likely appropriate for grant’s requirements.
Should consider starting to recruit volunteers

5 Report from Paisley Model Engineering Society (PMES) / Still awaiting paperwork for engines from Renfrewshire council.
There is damage to fence at complex guarding a drop of 12”. Is if possible to report such vandalism in the park on line?
Continuing to operate on Saturday afternoons, steam engine has been out. The club have a couple of new members.

Report from Yacht Club / Race will be cancelled this weekend due to the state of the pond. Received a request from Ian Rae looking to make a video of sailing on the pond to show pathway improvements in the park. No sailing due to the disgraceful state of the pond but IR welcome to film the pond as it stands if he wishes.AT knows Ian Rae. He already has photos on our web page.
KS suggested using a drone to photograph walled garden, etc. MF owns a drone.
The piers on the pond are dangerous, the banks are collapsing. RR reported issue to HSE, naming MkF and Shona McDougall as contacts. HSE informed that matter in hand by Mkf. MF stated that there are comments on paisley Legends fb page re the state of the pond.
Other safety issues in the park include the use of electric extension cable across the gravel car park with cars parking over the cable. / RR
