I. Introduction

High School Musical is an American television film. It is the most popular movie in the world. In 2006, it became the most successful movie that Disney Channel Original Movie ever produced. All the teenagers love this movie. And the film’s soundtrack was best-selling album in the . High School Musical has more than 7 million viewers in the U.S.

I as well enjoy this movie very much, deeply am attracted not only by the music, but also by the actors. These fresh actors all have very skilled acting ability and the songs all please the ear. The melodies are all easy and the lyrics of each song are also catchy. Each actor has respectively of special feature. Like Ashley, in the High School Musical is a mean and scheming person. She is absolutely like a devil. Zac is a super star of the basketball team who is loved by every single girl in East High. In really life, he can’t dance and play basketball at all, but he practices very hard for this drama.

That’s why I decided to do more research about this movie and get to know more about the actors. The more I know about them, the more I enjoy doing this.

1. Synopsis

1.1. High School Musical

The background of the story is about two high school juniors-Tory Bolton who is the captain of the basketball team, Wild Cats. His father is the coach of the team. He trains them very hard because the competition is coming in two weeks.

Gabriella Montez is a shy transfer student who is good at math and science. Because of her mother’s job is transferred in Albuquerque, she has to transfer to East High. Tory and Gabriella have their own dreams.

Troy’s great dream was to win the basketball championship. Until Troy met Gabriella, they sang karaoke together on New Year’s Eve. He can’t get his mind off trying out the lead role in the school musical with Gabriella. Gabriella is struggling, too.

Sharpay secretly loves Troy and she breaks her neck to rob Troy over from the Gabriella. Sharpay is the president of drama club. Surely, she will try her best to get the leading role of the school musical.

Over summer vacation, the East High Wildcats are ready to enjoy their vacation and earn some money at summer jobs. Troy Bolton lands a job at the country club, Lava Springs, not knowing that his job is a part of Sharpay 's plan to steal him from Gabriella. Accidentally foiling Sharpay’s plot, Troy not only helps Gabriella get a job as a lifeguard, but also lands jobs for the basketball team and the rest of his Wildcat pals.

Sharpay wants Troy. And Troy realizes that hanging with Sharpay's family can be very beneficial with basketball and get into a good college. The drama plays out when Troy has to choose between the wildcats and Gabriella or Sharpay.

Being ignored by Sharpay, Ryan had the chance to get to know about the wildcats and Gabriella, and more he realized how important friendship is. And eventually, helped Gabriella and Troy on the talent show at Lava Springs, and he also had a great time performing with the wildcats.

All students will soon graduate and they all have already had ideal universities. Wildcats also only remain the last game, and this relates to whether they can go to the ideal university in the heart or not. Sharpay and Ryan also have their own dreams, be the superstars of Hollywood and become the focus of the world. On the other hand, Gabriella and Troy will also face to respectively read aloud different university

Zac Efron is an American actor and singer. He began acting in the early 2000s, and became well-known to young audiences after his roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, and the film version of the Broadway musical . Speaking to Newsweek in June 2006, director Adam Shankman described him as "arguably the biggest teen star in America right now." He said that he would “flip out" if he got a 'B' and not an 'A' in school, and that he was a "class clown." his father encouraged him to begin acting when he was eleven. He subsequently appeared in theater productions at his high school, worked in a theater called the Melodrama, and began taking singing lessons. In 2006, He starred in the Disney Channel original movie High School Musical as Troy Bolton. The film, which he initially made with "low expectations", helped him gain recognition among teenage audiences as both an actor and a singer. As a result, He placed as high as 4 on the IMDBPro's STARMeter for the week of January 29, 2006. Ashley Tisdale is the antagonist of the film. She is a rising star of young Hollywood-with a hit Disney Channel television show. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody , and her phenomenally successful TV movie, High School Musica l. Ashley has become a world-class celebrity by playing the girl you love to hate, Sharpay Evans, in the mega-hit Disney Movie High School Musical. But in reality, the young actress is one of the sweetest stars you could ever know.

Ashley is beautiful and blond. A solid triple threat with an amazing vocal range dance skills, and great acting chops. She is a superstar in the making. Ashley has only just begun a career that is sure to be long and successful. She’s taking it one day at a time and pursuing more of fun projects America has grown to love her in.

In 2003 he moved to to become an actor. After the move Lucas got his first acting job with Disney Channel Original Movie, Halloween town. Lucas is best known for his role in the High School Musical as Ryan Evans. Some of Lucas other TV guest appearances such as Boston Legal and Cody and Veronica Mars. Some new movies you can see him, too. For example: High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Beverly Hills Ninja 2, the sequel to the 1997 Beverly Hills Ninja.

Lucas Grabeel had said in his blog" I don't care about money or fame or anything like that, but it would be a perk." It means that Lucas acting the movie is his favorite, not just want how much he got in a movie . He also said "I'm taking the biggest risk I've ever taken in my life, to just pick up and move, But this is what I've always wanted to do." That means he does his job with his confidence. And he always has hope on what he wants to do. It is really important for us to learn.

I watched the High School Musical is because Taiwan Disney Channel hit the commercial crazily. Therefore, I took advantage of this opportunity to get to know such popular television film. This movie lets me detect the facts of pursuing dreams, do not have to hide the secret in oneself heart, to brave performance, do not need to care other person's idea, even criticisms. Do your own thing and follow your dream.

This movie also attracts me very much, especially the background music. It’s very pleasant to listen, the scene, as well, is very beautiful and the dancing is also a excitement! Make me cannot help but follow it to sing and jump!!

High School Musical is subjected to person the television movie of fancy very much, from the teenagers to office worker, especially teenagers. After finishing watching High School Musical, I feel very motivated and become brave to chase my own dream.

And this television movie in the mean time tests natural affection, friendship, and love by him/her even of viewpoint, feeling.

The plots tightly packed of the whole movie, joins together just right, in the feeling, the core is the cadence that follows a plot walk. Seeing this film is completely a must do thing and it’s worth watching. My evaluation to this movie is very high.
