‘A CHRISTMAS FOR THE BOOKS’ Cast Bios

CHELSEA KANE (Joanna Moret) – has been acting professionally since the age of nine when she landed the role of Young Kim in the national Broadway tour of Showboat.

Kane most recently starred as Riley on Freeform’s long-running hit show, “Baby Daddy,” which won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Comedy in 2017. Kane also starred in the original TV movies “Lovestruck” and “#Popfan,” and as Meredith in the theatrical release of Bratz. She enjoyed a recurring role on the final season of The CW’s “One Tree Hill” and was a fan favorite on season 12 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” finishing as one of the three finalists.

Kane was a series lead on Disney’s “” and the voice of Bea Goldfishberg in their animated series, “.” In addition to voicing roles in Adult Swim's “Hot Streets” and “,” Kane loves bringing life to Pow in the new series “Trolls.”

DREW SEELEY (Ted Dinrise) – grew up in where he first fell in love with performing. At age 11, he was cast in Hal ’s revival of Showboat and stayed with the production for a year. Two years later, he got his first guitar, began writing songs, and hasn’t looked back since.

In 2005, Seeley started working with producer Ray Cham and together they wrote “Getcha Head in the Game” for Disney’s quadruple platinum “” soundtrack. This garnered them an Emmy nomination in the Best Original Song and Lyrics category. In addition, Seeley co-starred in the North American and Latin American tours of “High School Musical: The Concert” playing in 60,000-seat arenas. Seeley’s song and video “Dance with Me,” from the platinum soundtrack, can be seen on the and he also appeared in Belinda Peregrin’s music video “Ni Freud, Ni Tu Mama.”

He wrote and performed music for the Disney Channel Original Movie “Jump In!” starring , and his spin on America’s song “Magic” was released on the “” soundtrack. Seeley also made a guest appearance on the Chipmunks CD “Undeniable,” singing “Shake Your Groove Thing” with Alvin and the gang. He has recently been on a national tour performing original music from his debut album The Resolution.

Seeley’s acting career has included guest starring roles on “One Tree Hill,” “Dawson’s Creek,” “Guiding Light,” and “Another Cinderella Story,” in which he stars as pop star Joey Parker opposite . Seeley also co-wrote and performs four songs in the film. One of these songs, “New Classic,” enjoyed a slot on ’s Top 10 countdown for two months, and the music video has surpassed two million views on YouTube.

In 2009, Seeley took on the role of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid on Broadway. He was part of the show through the end of its run, and recorded an alternate version of Prince Eric’s song “Her Voice” which was released on the DisneyMania 7 album.

Additionally, Seeley starred alongside “30 Rock’s” in the Adam Sandler produced film, The Shortcut, reunited with “High School Musical” alum for the rock musical, I Kissed a Vampire, and portrayed the title character in the Hallmark Channel original movie, “Freshman Father.” The film, which is based on a true story, also includes “Best at the Time,” co-penned by Seeley.

Seeley starred in the TBS series “Glory Daze,” alongside Lacey Chabert in Non-Stop, and as the antagonist in two Lifetime movies this year: “He Knows Your Every Move” and “Lethal Admirer.”

Recently, Seeley closed the Broadway company of Jersey Boys as Bob Gaudio, and co-starred in a brand new ’60s musical A Sign of the Times.

Seeley resides in sunny with his wife Amy Paffrath and dog Astro, and spends as much time at the beach as possible.
